Stallion Mountain Golf Club
About
Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Rhis course needs better better course directions. Didn't have very good directions from hole to hole
Great value
Our foursome played at Stallion at the end of January. Turned out to be a great weather day. The course was in excellent condition from tee boxes to greens. Considering the condition of this course a few years ago, the staff should be commended for a job well done. The sand traps were completely reworked. Previously it was best to just take an unplayable lie but now it can be a safe bail-out area. They also had issues with a few greens in the past, but I saw no problems with any of them during our round; smooth and true, and a bit fast which can only help my putting. The tees were pretty much immaculate, but maybe that's because I play at Revere on a regular basis. The course itself is somewhat challenging but fair if you keep it in the fairway. And there's no shame in moving up to the next tee box!!! Nice big greens help make the approach shots a little easier, but the putts a little harder.
Pace of play was great as we never waited for the group ahead of us nor felt pushed by the group behind us. We finished in a few minutes over 4 hours. The bar/restaurant was comfortable, and the service was very good. There were a few TVs spread around to watch golf and/or a game of your liking. Staff was very pleasant and helpful getting our bags from the car to the carts and very friendly. Check in was a snap and the starter was a fun treat. All of that got our golf day off to a good start. The cart girl always seemed to be around when needed (3 or 4 times during the round) to keep us hydrated with beers, seltzers, and Jack.
Stallion Mountain is a great place to play whether you're a local or just visiting. It's just a short ride from The Strip. If you haven't played here before, give it a shot. It will be well worth your while. If you've played it before and were unimpressed, try it again. The transformation over the last couple of years had done wonders for the whole experience.
Great choice
Caught it on a hot deal worth every penny course challenges you with the uneven lies everywhere
First time
I have played the course the last two days and enjoyed both days. The course is well maintained and the greens are like the top of a billiards pool table but fair.
Worth the money
Course is in way better shape then last year. Worth what thy are charging
Pleasant Surprise
My wife and I were here from Canada and played on a colder than normal, gray winter day. Driving in the course and clubhouse looked a little old and worn.
However, what we found was a very interesting, cleverly designed course with lots of doglegs, rolling fairways and enough but not too much water.
The condition was much better than seemed on first glance. The greens rolled true and were remarkably fast especially the ones with some serious slope.
There were few players out given the conditions so we were able to play without delay which is always a big bonus.
The staff were friendly too.
All in all a very pleasant experience at a very reasonable price.
Challenging Cours
Course a little rough but ok given winter conditions. Several challenging holes, especially plar 3's over water. Greens in very good shape except for ball marks other golfers refuse to repair. Will play here again.
Nice course for all skill levels
Fast and true greens, winter conditions were good and good bunkering and water features. A good test from the tips and for beginners at the forward tees.
