Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
There are three championship courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, all of which were designed by Pete Dye. Snow Mountain is the original course, joined by Sun Mountain, which is considered the easiest of the three, and Wolf is the newest and most challenging.
At over 7,600 yards, Wolf is also the longest course in Nevada but Snow Mountain is quite lengthy as well at 7,146 yards. Dye incorporated his signature railroad-tie bunkers and water comes into play on seven holes. This risk-reward layout is known for having the best par-3s at the resort. One of these is the stunning 16th hole with its panoramic view of Sheep Mountain. It requires a long carry over water but the bailout area to the right provides a relatively easy up and down and the greenside bunkers don't usually come into play.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Nu-Wav-Kaiv Course.

Gem in the desert
Absolutely love getting out to Vegas and when I do, I get out to Paiute. Beautiful course, fun layout and design, and out there w no houses. A true desert course. Conditions were excellent and a great value. Behind 2 4somes that were bachelor parties. They weren’t the fastest players at all, but too horrible either. Ranger kept em moving so thanks for that. Absolutely would be back!
Superb
Course was in great shape. Staff helpful and friendly
Nice course but ….
WINDY! The beautiful courses is in the dessert and no buildings or housing around it. It was a very windy day hence did not play well and could not enjoy the course as much.
OK
Played the snow course. It was nice. Heard to believe they carved those three golf courses out of desert wasteland.
Clubhouse is stunning with all the windows, staff was nice. $40 for a hat, way overpriced.
Windy cool day so it could have been better.
A lot of reviews compare this to the best in Vegas.
Played the Revere last year and Wolf Creek and didn't feel like this held a candle to either one of them, especially Wolf Creek.
Needs better management
Great course. Staff pro shop wasn’t the friendliest. The pro shop locked up and left at 4:00!
Outstanding Golf Course
Paiute - Snow Mountain Golf Course
One of the most picturequest courses I've ever played. The layout is very Pete Dye, I loved it probably one of his best works! The par 3's challenging but fair. The par 5's long but again fair. I feel it's important to play from the correct tees here because of the temperature variation and wind at least the day we played (18 Jan, 2023) Par 4's very good, you can definitely score hitting the fairway is a must with that said the fairways are generous. Greens today were lightning fast, I'm okay with fast greens they rolled true for sure. Honestly did not want the round to be over. Beverage cart had great offerings, pro shop was top of the line, very well stocked. I will visit here again next time I'm in Vegas! I heard great things about the restaurant but we did not eat. Price was very good, I've definitely paid more for a lesser golf experience. We done Paiute, Snow Mountain Course
Worth iy
Greens are stupid fast and it is very windy. But worth playing
Great course
Excellent desert golf course at an excellent value. If you can grab a discounted price here, do not hesitate. You won’t regret playing any of the Pete Dye designed courses at Paiute and Snow Mountain is a great course to start with. Wife fairways, fairly challenging layout offering risky shortcuts to those who can carry a long drive, and we’ll maintained greens. The greens do tend to be fairly flat and easy to play unlike Sun or Wolf courses at Paiute. Friendly staff, nice carts with gps, and outstanding practice facilities. Do not miss any of the Paiute courses while golfing in Vegas.
Ps. Paiute can get quite windy frequently even when Las Vegas has no winds. Expect to have a breeze if you play here.
One of the best in Las Vegas
A must play course!!!
Bring your Knockdown shots!
This has to be one of the friendliest Dye Course I've played and the weather was perfect when We started but dark clouds came from the north and although we did not get rained on, the winds picked up to 30mph and had to adapt to hitting low shots to advance the ball, Nice dry fairways and got a ton of roll downwind, Greens were challenging putting in the wind.. Overall POP was 4 hrs and we had a lot of fun. Thank You Paiute Tribe.
Beautiful
Everything was wonderful. All amenities are top notch. Only complaint was the wind...
