Desert Pines Golf Club
About
Desert Pines Golf Club is often referred to as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. It offers a Carolina sandhills experience, yet is conveniently located just minutes from downtown or the Strip. This Dye design features thousands of mature pine trees lining the well-groomed fairways where white sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens. Because of the large number of pine trees, often times this course is cooler than other courses in the heat of the summer. Although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

Great venue for the money
Nice course, layout, condition of the course is great for the price that we paid
A course promotion to encourage everyone to repair their ball marks on the green plus one or two others may help. Way too many unprepared divots. Greens were shaggy. Good layout.
Place needs water
It’s a solid track. People were amazing. Bar is good. ProShop helpful. It just needs a little love and I assume that’s from water issues in the are restricting how the club can be maintained.
Good course
Nice staff, good layout. Pace of play was good.. Large chunks off grass cutting were everywhere in the rough and the area around the bunkers was unplayable and usually meant a lost ball.
Nice course just 2 miles from Fremont Street
The course layout and conditions were great. The staff (in-house, on course marshal and cart girl) were very friendly and went the extra mile to make the experience good. We are used to paying $65.00 max for courses like this in the Nashville area but this was almost double that. I guess you charge what the people will pay and we paid. It was a course I will go back to next year.
Dye design ruined
They over book to the point it takes 5 hours to play an early morning round ( tee time 6:32 AM). The course is in horrendous condition. Grass clippings remain on the greens and fairways alike. Sand traps have little to no sand, but offer a healthy growth of weeds! Had I read the posted reviews prior to making the reservation, I wouldn’t have!
Hi rrobison877, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your round. We take your concerns seriously and will address them with our team. We appreciate your input and hope to have the opportunity to improve your experience in the future.
Thanks for your feedback, VbypDcEpjQpzT8JzsqAp. We’re sorry we did not live up to expectations. Would you mind messaging us so that we can learn more about what we could be doing better?
Tough Rough
The fairways and greens are in good condition. The bunkers are in need of a lot of attention, the rough has been let to grow out so pay attention to where your ball enters if you miss the short stuff.
Hi Matsubaum, thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your positive comments about our fairways and greens. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the bunkers and rough. We'll make sure to address these areas for an even better experience next time.
Ok course
It seems they over book . We waited a lot!
A round at 720 Am should have been done in less than 4hrs it took 5 1/2!’
Hi u320946254, thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the longer wait time during your visit. We appreciate your patience and will work to improve our efficiency to ensure a smoother experience for our customers.
Fun round
Had a lot of fun playing this course. The rough was super deep so hitting the fairway is critical to pulling off a good score. The staff were very friendly.
Hi u314159736069! We're thrilled to hear that you had a great time playing our course and that our staff treated you well. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again soon for another enjoyable round!
The rough is rough
If you go off the fairway, There's a 90% chance that you're ball is lost. The rough just eats them up. And the sand and bunkers are in horrible conditions. The grass on the bunker hills is 12 inches tall. You'll never find your ball. The sand hasn't been raked in a long time. Clogged drain near the 8th tee box has been clogged for 2 months now.
Definitely not the Desert Pines I'm used to playing.
Hi u000002144589, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We apologize for the challenges you experienced during your recent visit to our course. We appreciate your input and will take it into consideration as we strive to improve our conditions for a better playing experience.
Nice Course
The course was in good shape, especially for the end of July. It is short with narrow, rolling fairways and challenging greens. The only problem I had was the non-resident rate was excessive. It is not a $100 course. Why do people who are also paying for hotel rooms, plane tickets, rental clubs, etc... also have to pay twice as much for green fees?
Hi There, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your experience at Desert Pines! We hope to host you again soon! Bill W- General Manager
Hi u000007422429, thank you so much for the review. We will take into consideration our non-resident rate. We hope to see you back again soon. Elijah G. - Director of Golf.
Over Booking
One of the few courses near to where I live. I book as early as possible and they let me out as a single just when the sun starts to rise.
They are now double booking which means they are sending off on both sides. When you make the turn there are many groups now ahead of you.
This is not worth the money at all
Hi u314162614318, we sincerely apologize for the experience you had, but thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will use this as a learning experience on how we can improve. I would love to discuss this further with you, please give me a call at 702-854-3803. Elijah G. - Director of Golf.
Do not play here
At check-in we needed to ask for water and towels in 112 F
Our cart was old and seat was ripped which hurt our legs
No starter or Marshall to keep up play
Mowers did not stop for us
Beer cart came around once
Most importantly we finished our round and everything was closed up. A worker leaving in the parking lot at 1:50 pm stated it was due to excessive heat warning. The safety of the client was not considered. We needed to use a washroom and have a cool place to sit and wait 20 min for our Uber. Plus no one was there to turn in our cart to.
The worst golfing experience in 40 years. We played Bali hai and TPC earlier in the week which was comparable price wise and would recommend those courses instead.
Hi u314, I'm am very sorry to hear of your experience. I hope to connect as soon as possible to discuss your visit futher. I can be reached at 702-388-4400. Bill W. General Manager
