Rhodes Ranch Country Club
About
Hidden in the folds of the Southern Nevada desert is the lush oasis of Rhodes Ranch Golf Club. The abundance and variety of water features characterize the golf course. Ponds and lakes come into play frequently. There are also mature palms lining the gently rolling fairways and generous greens. The club is known for the immaculate maintenance of the verdant tropical landscape. The course is player-friendly while at the same time offering Las Vegas golfers some unexpected challenges. The layout boasts a set of four impressive par 3s including the scenic third hole, which requires a tee shot over a pond. The designer, Ted Robinson, touted the holes as the best he's ever designed. Rolling mounds and strategic bunkering as well as the occasional multi-tiered green make the golf course more difficult, but there are wide fairways and ample landing areas to provide a balance. The playability of the course combined with the reasonable rates, especially for Las Vegas golf, has earned the club a popular following.

#16 Par 3 ... large great but must hit the distance. Photo submitted by Wally4 on 02/01/2013
Great conditions
The course was in great condition. The greens were fast, but fair. The weather was perfect, 65 degrees with 8-10 mph winds. The bunkers were in great shape, just wish the groups in front of us had raked them. Overall, a great course and a fantastic layout.
Really nice “resort style” course.
Pretty average in length, with that being said the course is in fabulous shape. I think I only had one uphill putt all day and the greens were quick! Very forgiving fairways but stay out of the rough which consists of sand and rock. Lots of water and the traps were everywhere. My only issue was the driving range, very unimpressive but I wasn’t there to practice. I would definitely recommend as the quality of this course is worth the money.
Change is good
Definitely a different course that I played before. Changes were fantastic, but the pace of play .HORRIBLE!!! No Marshall was there pushing the slow groups and they were playing the wrong tee boxes. It took away from the enjoyment of the game because of the 15 minute wait on each hole.
Amazing
Would play again. Best time course was in great condition.
Thanks for the great Review!
Six hours to do 18 holes pathetic! Started people on front and back. Pack the course with zero marshals
We do apologize for the slower round, We have been working hard with our rangers to help expedite the pace of play. In November 2024 we will be getting new carts with GPS tracking to help speed up the pace of play. As far as starting on both nines, we don't ever start groups off of two nines. You were started on the back nine for maintenance purposes, as a means to allow them more time to work on the course before they see golfers.
Rhodes Ranch Virgin
Wife and I played RR for the first time. Course was terrific. The father/son we were paired with were great and the course features and views were outstanding. Pace of play was super slow yet the delays in between shots didn’t seem to be that much. If the pace could pick up just a bit I’d give RR a 10 out of 10. As it stands now it’s still a 9 for us. And we will be back on an upcoming trip.
We appreciate the kind words and the honest review. We are glad we could meet your expectations. When we get new carts in the fall we will be able to monitor the pace of play fat better.
Nasty pro shop staff and overcrowding
Checking in with the pro shop was a complete disaster! Upon arrival at the course the weather looked very threatening with considerable storms over the mountains to the West moving Eastward. Because of this condition I asked if a rain check could be issued if the storms prevailed and we couldn’t return to the course for the remainder of our round as a threesome. Disconcertingly the lady helping us was very rude saying, “no our policy is no rain checks”, pointing to a sign on the counter and then coarsely saying, “pay you play”, no refunds period! This is the only course in Las Vegas that has such a policy locking you off the property even though you might have played several holes and being unable to return due to hazardous weather conditions. Additionally this course packs the players in with minimal time between tee-times. After making the turn to hole number 10 we encountered 4 groups ahead of us on the hole making it 5 groups! We therefore called the pro shop to get a course ranger out to speed up the play, amazingly the Ranger never showed up, and it took 3 hours and 15 minutes to play the back nine. Totally unacceptable to say the least! Players beware of the inhospitable customer hospitality, and the horrendous playing conditions on this stacked and overpriced facility, and go elsewhere!
While we value your feedback, we unfortunately have to abide by our policies and procedures. The dangerous weather that you speak never actually accord, also if the course is closed by us, we will issue rainchecks. I.E. Lightning and anything that would cause the golfers or course harm. Never have a scene Lorann give attitude or anything less than her best manners, but i guess when you tell someone no, that is consider rude even if she says it in her nicest southern draw.
Good features..
Lot of very nice water falls…
Played with 3 very nice guys!
We'd like to know why we lost the fifth star but still appreciate the kind words.
One of the best/most beautiful courses in town
This was my first time playing this course and I could not have been more impressed. From the top to the bottom, I don’t have one negative thing to say about this course. Everyone in the pro shop, to the other course workers were extremely nice and willing to help you with clubs, carts, etc. The driving range was from the grass today and it was very nice. The practice putting greens were pristine. The tee boxes were perfect and the fairways/rough were perfectly groomed. The greens were in beautiful condition, played true, but were very quick. The course was very forgiving if you played the ball on one side or the other. Not a lot of places to lose balls unless you find a backyard or the water features. I’m thoroughly impressed with this course, the beautiful scenery and will definitely be back!
We appreciate the great review! We hope we can meet your high expectations in the future as well. Thank You again for the kind remarks.
Very friendly staff and players style course
Enjoy the layout and ease of play. Rather forgiving for the player that occasionally misses the fairway. Rough is over seeded and cut to playable depth. Some of the greens are bumpy and hard to read. Water features add a little visual challenge.
Thank you for such an Honest review. We will foreword it on to our superintendent. If a few greens were bumpy do to high volume of play, its the price we pay. We are currently working with corporate to reduce tee time spread from 8 minutes to 9 minutes, however with less play comes higher rates.
We do apologize for the slower round, We have been working hard with our rangers to help expedite the pace of play. In November 2024 we will be getting new carts with GPS tracking to help speed up the pace of play. We definitely had rangers out there, but we will get on them about pushing groups and remaining visible.
