Course needs some attention
I played The Crossings during a period with plenty of rain, the fairways had quite a few bare spots and thin areas. The greens were very long and inconsistent, putts were not rolling true at all. Areas around the greens had some crabgrass, and very thin lies at times. That said, with GolfNow price, plus 20% off using the Crossings membership card, the price of $31 helped keep the value of the course in check.
Staff complained about golfnow.com rate
Robert checking us in went on and on about how that rate shouldn't have been offered for that time slot and that whoever did that was in danger of losing their job. Said they noticed it too late and we had already made reservation. May be the case, but we wouldn't have played at regular rate, so would have forgone all monies. Not what you want to hear when all you did was look, point and click, pay and play. Not our problem. Money would have been spent at another course using this site that would be happy to have us there.
Pretty nice
The greens were great and the fairways in good shape. Tee boxes were not very good shape. Overall nice shape and by booking at golfnow a good value. If your a beer drinker while you play take out a loan. The six pack prices were outrageous.
Great Conditions, Great Price
Well maintained, great course for the money, no complaints.
Great course
This course is challenging, long and has a varitety of pars.
Greens are very face and take some getting use to but great size.
Nice course
This was my first time playing here, and I was quite impressed. The course is in great shape other than a few poorly repaired ball marks on some greens. It is challenging but not intimidating to a newbie like me. I will definitely be back soon.
Good Value
Fairways were in great shape, greens were in really good shape (a few dead spots but they were painted so they were aesthetically pleasing still). Staff was friendly, good amenities in the clubhouse. Great, quite atmosphere on the course.
Terrible experience
Have to say, playing this course was my worst golf experience in a good twenty years.
The pace of play was GLACIAL! Although the staff in the pro shop was fine, the greens crew that we ran into on the course were downright rude, intentionally so. One of them seemed to literally delight in being as rude as possible to us. When we asked that he stand still on the tee box as we teed off on a par 3, he smiled, and then walked right in front of the person who was about to hit. Thinking that he didn't understand English we made it quite clear that he could not just walk in front of a person who was about to hit the ball! He smiled, laughed, then walked away. I yelled at him, "what's your name?" thinking I would tell the pro. He turned, and said "Manuel." Clearly he could understand English and even if he couldn't, even if he wasn't being intentionally rude (which I don't believe for a second), then he was NOT TRAINED AT ALL IN COURSE ETIQUETTE!
Will never, ever play this course again and will certainly never, ever suggest that anyone else play it.
One thing this course seems to prove without a doubt, when a course says that "denim is allowed," don't play it, period!
Course has great practice facilities
I have been playing the Crossings for a few years now. The course is well maintained and challenging enough to keep me coming back to play again.
