best course in town for the price ., This course is for the average joe, and you feel that instantly with the great customer service, Everyone gets treated like family .
-Sunrise also has the coolest cart girls in town .,
I will continue to play here as long as it’s open .!!!
Staff was cool and rate was fair
You get what you pay for. It was a reasonably priced course and a reasonable course as a whole. Greens were in good shape, easy to follow links course. Tough fairways to hit but that was part of the fun
SUNRISE & SHINE
I recently moved to Vegas from the New York City, so I hadn't played a course in Vegas. That can be daunting to say the least. Didn't want to overspend or go to a course that wasn't worth its salt. So, I decided to try out Sunrise. First off, it was super affordable -- so affordable I was positive I was going to be driving from dirt tee boxes. Boy, was I wrong. The course was as GORGEOUS as the 75 degree weather I played in. The staff was super friendly and the pace of play was stellar. The course itself had a cool layout with a death trench running through all the holes to the right. You may not like this course if you are a lefty who hooks/ or a righty who slices. But if you don't like a reasonable challenge that makes your game better-- I say you are coward and you should go back to bowling. The only drawback... and I'm reaching into glass to find this.... there is no drink cart. That said, Sunrise knows this and EVERY CART COMES WITH A COOLER AND ICE! So, they've given you the tools to be your OWN alcoholic. I've said all I needed to say. I'll be topping and slicing at Sunrise from now on!
Better than expected
This course is under rated by golfers using this application. It is true that the Arroyo runs at the right side of most holes and yes, if you slice the ball with end at the bottom of the channel. But you don't need to slice. There is plenty of space to the fairway and left side of the rough. So, if you are going to miss, then miss left. I think that is a great course to play your shot coutionly and practice your course management skills. There are few holes where you can grip-and-rip-it! In short words, I enjoyed the round and defenetly will play it again, soon!
Read previous reviwes first
The Golf Now description did say the greens had been aerated and sanded. I appreciate that. One of the previous reviewers mentioned that every hole (yes, all 18) generally slopes to the right. On the right, you have a very steep, grassy slope drains to a shallow concrete waterway. Sometimes there is an apron to catch your ball; other holes fall directly into the concrete waterway. A ball can be rescued from the waterway, but it is a steep downhill walk and a steeper uphill return. This is a test if you are a right-handed golfer and want to practice your draw. Otherwise, skip this one.
Really half a course
The layout out of this course is horrible u hit any fairway in the middle and the ball bounces right the ball ends up in the wash. I mean absolutely beautiful drives.
Community course
While in Las Vegas, if you want to get in a quick round of golf for a reasonable price. This is a good place to play.
Employees at the course were friendly.
There is a drainage Canal that runs along the right side. It is in play on most of the holes and the ground slopes to the right;; however, you can enjoy your round.
If you miss hit your ball, hit it to the left.
Staff very friendly. Some of the fairways had bare spots and areas of burned out dead grass. Would be much better course if fairways taken care oof.
For the fee, it was a playable course.
The course was a little narrow and you were penalized for any wide shot to the right. The balls on the right side would roll down the hill into the water channel; however, I enjoyed the challenge.
Goat Patch
A waste of time and money, find somewhere else to play, you will be disappointed
Waste of time
Smells like a sewer, homeless people walking all over the course, extremely narrow course, amenities are terrible. Honestly this course should be bull dozed looks nothing like the photos.
The greens we not in good shape at all. Too many times had to putt over previous hole locations and the grass was dead around where the hole was. Several dead spots on most greens as well. Fairways had some dead spots as well.
