Primm Valley Golf Club - Desert Course
About
Primm Valley Golf Club boasts two championship courses designed by Tom Fazio. On the Desert Course, Fazio fully utilized the rugged landscape and scenic views offered by the mountains in the distance. Like many of his designs, the Desert Course blends seamlessly into the beautiful surroundings. It is a straightforward layout with no hidden tricks but there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking beside the undulating greens to provide some challenges. The golf course also requires a few tricky forced carries. The fairways are generous and offer some room for error, making the course more appealing to beginners. In addition to the two golf courses, Primm Valley also offers extensive practice facilities that include a double-ended driving range, target greens, practice putting greens, and chipping and pitching greens with sand bunkers.

Great course, rough greens
Great course but greens are in tough condition and staff is working to fix. Great bang for your buck.
Winter Trip
My group has been coming out after Christmas for years. We play is any and all conditions to " make a story ". Non resident is still a bit pricey but that doesn't deter us.
Terrible Condition
I agree with everyone’s review of both golf courses. Do not waste your time or money even though you feel it is a decent deal to play either of these courses. When you go to the range with no grass, that should give you a hint of what you are in for. I would not go back and play either golf course until they have fixed their issues if it cost me nothing!! Terrible experience to say the least. Too bad because both courses have a great layout but someone needs to take it over and spend the money to make it like it used to be.
Primm Valley Lakes
Tee to green course conditions were excellent. However, the greens have a ways to go to be considered decent. The greens are coming back but have a ways to go
In poor shape
We were told that the Desert course was not in good shape with several poor greens, so we were moved to the "nicer" lakes course. It was not in good shape. Very little grass on fairways, many washed out clay spots. Several greens had this issue also. Greens not in good shape. On one hole we were putting thru pure sand with zero grass for about 6 feet.
Returned and had a diff’t experience
The starter advised golfing on the Lakes course as it was in better shape. You can select appropriate yardage with tee box selections. Unfortunately the greens had many bare areas and appeared to be suffering. Given it’s a 45 min drive from the strip there may be better options but if they can improve the course conditions it would be great.
Greens Burt
So prior to leaving for our tee time we were informed from a friend who played the weekend before and apparently the greens were damaged by an ex disgruntled employee and set them on fire. I understand that it’s not your fault but they should have notified the public. It’s no where on the website and it’s no where on Golf Now.
Terrible green condition
On Oct 2, 2022, 9:20am was out tee time for 3 players. From the 1st hall, we were shocked with the green condition which should have been explained/exposed before booking. I never seen such a bad green in my 30 years of golfing. After few holes, we were so discouraged to continue to play. All of us agreed that it was not worth it. We went the club house to ask the explanation of it. The guy was very rude and unprofessional. By the way, the club house floor was flooded with water and big fan was making a loud sound to dry it. The room was dark without any light on like hgost house, which already tells something wrorng with the management of the facility. No one was there at first. He showed up & told us to complain it to Golfnow as they were the one who booked for us. Not a single word of professional explanation. "So what? It has nothing to do with us! " We were very disappointed with his attitude. If he diplomatically apologized with few words, we would not file this review. This afternoon, I checked tee times for future. Golfnow offers that no time for a weeks. Probably people already complained about it or there could be miscommunication between them and Golfnow. I hope no one experience it in the future. If there was miscommunication between them & Golfnow, I deserve to get full refund of $267.
Thanks for the reviews.....will not be booking this course again!
Have played here several times on visits to LV, always liked the course and never had any problems with the people. Was planning to book some rounds for later this month. After reading all the recent reviews and how people were treated we have decided to not even consider booking at this venue unless management is replaced and reviews reflect that the course is in good playing condition. To know that your course is in terrible condition and not informing golfers and then treating them rudely is UNACCEPTABLE!
Horrific Green Conditions
It would have been nice to let us know ahead of time that the greens were diseased and 80% dirt, no grass. This course should not have been open for business. It's a 45 minute drive to Primm and out of courtesy, we should have been told the greens conditions? How about on Golf Now, you let us know if there is an issue with overseeding and or horrific conditions/current images?
Call club house before you book to find out conditions
This course greens were the WORST i have ever seen....50% of each green was hard dirt...They got some type of disease or something and it was just really bad...I would like my money back for this course...We were in town to play golf so we didn't just walk off...Money back please or at least a credit on file!!!
This course had terrible greens
The greens were non existent and when we arrived we were asked if we did not even want to play due to the conditions. We drove out from Henderson and had already paid on Golf Now. The greens were torn up and it made the play rough and more difficult. This should have been noted prior to spending the almost $120 with a 40 minute drive.
Greens were all dirt and sand!
stay away until the greens come back from their "fungal infections" ; Pretty shocked that it was a take it or leave it with the conditions of the course. If it was in TOWN in las vegas, n las vegas or henderson, we would have left. but it was a 50 minute drive and it's in the middle of absolutely NO WHERES land.
I really thought they should have given us AT LEAST a 50% discount.
Sad to see
Amazing corse design with horrible course conditions. So sad to see it because it could be a five star course but its falling apart and the greens are mostly dead. I imagine it will be out of business soon as it’s not worth half of what they charge.
Dead course
The greens are dead and so are parts of the fairway.
Worst Golf Course in Vegas
This golf course needs to close. The greens were unplayable, sand traps were dust pits, and the rough so unkept in spots that you couldn’t find your ball. Not worth the drive or the money to play there.
Terrible greens
The setting is great. The course is normally challenging. The greens really don’t exist. A lot of work is needed to make this back into the good course it once was.
Golfnow needs to know course conditions to sell times.
Sadly, Primm Valley has lost their greens to fungus. I went over to play and was told that it was unplayable. I would have been nice to know this rather then expecting to play, and I hope your site now shows that rounds are not available due to conditions.
