Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run
About
Jack Nicklaus designed the golf course at the Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run. The 18-hole, public course is touted as having one of the best layouts in the area. The par-72 course offers 7,014 yards of challenging and fun golf. Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run's design emphasizes strategy rather than power. Sand and water hazards add interest to the course. In addition to providing a great game of golf, the course also has picturesque scenery with the many oaks and pines that snake though the course. It has been named one of America's Top 100 Courses priced under $100.

Gator at Golden Bear Photo submitted by fusselbe on 11/07/2012
First time in the month of March
The fairways were not that great! They were hard as a rock or hitting from a driveway or road, no grass at all. If those are conditions then they should post or announce and charge a little less than $90.00 for a round. That is a little ridiculous and you guys are using Jack’s name in vain in order to increase revenue. I know that vacationers like to boast that they played a Nicklaus course but you are just being unfair when you charge that much when the course condition are below “par” (pun intended)!
Golden bear
Beautiful course, well maintained. Amazing and attentive staff , very classy
Overall a really nice course
Course was in decent shape, considering it is April. A few weed spots on the green. Got a good deal on GolfNow or value would have been much less. Haven't been here in years, but they used to have GPS on the carts (before it was common place). Did miss that. Nice to have a beverage cart on a Tuesday! Overall an enjoyable experience.
Only nice person was the cart girl
Staff very unpleasant from check in to starter .
Was told our pace of play was slow and we should pick up pace. Our group was slowed down by a fundraising solicitation for Veterns . We were trying to donate.
Nice course
Greens were in great shape. Fairways a little thin in spots. Pace of play was 4:45, too long.
The pace of play is killing golf
The round took over 4 1/2 hours. Way too slow as we waited on every shot. There was a very slow 4-some and then a single ahead of us. Why would the starter allow a single to go out in the middle of the day? The rangers need to step up & do their job. They need to force slow players to pick up the pace.
Law
Five hour round, waited every shot, pace of play gives golf a bad name. They need to spread out tee times more, we had at least 3 groups on every hole, sometimes more. If you like really slow play this is for you
Gorgeous course
Pace of play was ridiculously slow, 5 hour round for a two-some.
Overall we had a good time and we would play it again. A nice upgrade would be GPS on the carts. Our biggest issue was the pace of play on the back nine. A gentleman rode by us two or three times, we believe he was the Ranger however, his car wasn’t marked and he never said anything to us. If he was the Ranger, he did nothing to move the groups ahead of us along.
Enjoyed it
Course was in beautiful condition. Staff, particularly the starter Gene, were very friendly and welcoming.
Fantastic
Two of us played nine holes at 4:40 p.m. we had the course virtually to ourselves. The course was in perfect condition. Jack would have been proud.. The course was beautiful all the tall pines. We're going to play it again next week 18 holes. Okay well
