Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club
About
Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club offers the traditional links course reminiscent of those found in the British Isles, situated amidst Virginia's horse country. The club gets its name from the land's former use, a raspberry field. The scenic terrain overlooks to Catoctin Mountains and there are still a few raspberry bushes dotting the course. By far the layout's most formidable challenges come from the deep, stacked pot bunkers that make it truly feel like a classic Scottish golf course. There are also water hazards on a few holes. The course's signature is the par-4 third hole, which is long but plays downhill all the way. The 10th hole, another par 4, is one of the toughest. The landing area is generous off the tee but there is a creek and pond to the left and fairway bunkers on the right.

Needs attention
Called early to check on the availability for a single golfer and they said they could accommodate. I wish they had told me the back 9 was aerated and it was cart path only, before I drove 45 mins and paid the $90 …NO water coolers on the course or beverage cart to be found throughout the round. Tee boxes were a mess, a lot of water still on the course (of course none to drink tho’). Not sure it should be that pricey of a course.
This use to be my favorite course in the area
This use to be one of my favorite courses to play. However over the years their price have increased while the quality of the course have declined. For example, green consistency. This past Sunday, holes one & two were fast. Hole 3 near the cup was like putting into mud.
Throughout the round, we found the greens being one or the other.
I know this is being very picky, but the experience versus the price point is important these days, with so many other courses in the area to choose from it makes it hard to pay premium prices and not have a premium course.
Not worth it
This is one of the least value courses I’ve ever played. A five hour hour round, where the course staff would not push the folks in front who were holding up everybody. Conditions were decent, but the greens were slow as molasses. Tea boxes were atrocious as well. Very disappointing and nowhere near worth the value.
Nice course, Awful value
Course has a great layout with some nice scenic views and an awesome finishing hole but it is far too expensive. I played here on a hot deal and honestly wont be back unless I can find another reasonably priced tee time. Course conditions were pretty good but far from what you'd expect for the price.
Fantastic course
I have been looking to play RFGHC for about a year now. The course is fantastic. Overall everything was in perfect shape. Would highly recommend playing it if you haven't
Green staff blissfully u aware.
Its a beautiful course but the grounds crew continually worked while Down range in the danger zone while we were teeing off. I get they have to get the job done, but it was like they did t even recognize someone was playing, for as much money as you pay to play here you figure they would at least make an attempt at keeping an eye out for people teeing off.
Unlucky
Played here for my first time and let’s just say the views are AMAZING. The fairways were perfect, rough was soft! Some tee boxes were in rough shape but it was only about 5/18 that were rough. I was super unlucky with the greens. They were airated and they sanded all of them before I teed off. Just bad timing, I’m sure they are really great otherwise. I went for the views and they didn’t disappoint, great golf was just a bonus! Definitely play here to impress friends!
Great Course Condition & Great Staff
The course condition was perfect. Well pace of play, friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere!!
