Good layout
Course was in very good shape. Greens had been recently aerated which is the only knock on the day, but that’s normal maintenance. Overall a great layout and long enough for the young guys! Had a great time!
GOOSE POND COLONY LAKE COURSE
THIS COURSE IS FUN TO PLAY. WATER EVERYWHERE WIND BLOWS OFF THE TENN RIVER.. MAKES PLAY COMFTOBLE. SOME GREENS NEED RESEEDING. BEAUTIFUL SURONDINGS . EXCELLENT VALUE.
Excellent golf outing
The course played very well! The fairways were well manicured and the greens rolled well! I live an hour away but it’s always a treat to drive here for a golf outing!
Goose Pond is excellent
Goose Pond, beautiful layout, scenery is beautiful and the pace of play was very good. Course is in very good shape. Greens were firm and fast. Wind off the river was tough at times, but it helped keep down the heat. You need to play this course.
Mini vacation
I have been coming to goose pond for golf for over 25 years. Course conditions today were as good or better than any time I've visited. Will definitely be back.
GPGC
I absolutely love playing at goosepond it’s so nice and even a better view and the staff is very friendly
Mark’s review
Great course and condition. The only complaint that I have is, it was a very hot and humid day, and none of the water coolers was to be found! Also, no beverage cart was available!
Best of the Best!
This is by far the best course I have played! The fairways are like green carpet with challenging greens. Most fairways are wide which appeal to the average golfer. There are plenty of water ways to keep you on your game. Because of Covivid19 I couldn't rate either staff or off course amenities.
Goose Pond Lake
Tees and fairways are pretty nice. Greens are still recovering from aeration but still roll nice and fast. There are a few blind shots and shot shaping is needed. Personally I prefer the plantation course, but this one is right up there too.
Goose Pond Lake
Course has a great layout. Tees and fairways were in nice condition, greens were still healing from aeration but rolled nice and fast. There’s a couple blind tee shots, and you’ll have to shape the ball a little. Personally I enjoyed the plantation course more but this one is right there close.
Always interesting
Always a great place to play golf, plus great value
Course is in decent shape. Hot deals rate is decent. Rake rate for this course is absolutely ridiculous. Scottsboro should be ashamed. However, through hot deals rate and Golf Pass perks, my round was FREE.
This course needs a Ranger.
Played the day after Thanksgiving and the course was in good condition considering the time of year. Most of the leaves had even been removed from the playing grounds. For starters they were out of range balls by noon on a day where the fog hadn't lifted til almost 10am so its not like there were a ton of people out on the range. Then there were a lot of holiday 4somes out and I even saw a 3 cart 6some along with one group that had a father out with his 2 daughters and son. One of the daughters was 5 or 6 years old and playing from tee to green. As you can imagine this created quite the log jam and no one was ever allowed to pass. I just don't understand that kind of thing. Also the course has not dropped their green fee to winter rates yet. On a day packed with $50 a round golfers one might think to have someone out there riding around making sure proper etiquette is being practiced.
Call ahead for clear instructions!
Thought it was a great value and reserved a time online. Drove over an hour and course looked deserted. No one was around. Carts were lined up outside so we just got in and started to play. Were not going to abandon the trip because clubhouse attendant was at lunch, or so we thought since it was a long drive. After 2 holes a guy comes up and says we need to go to another course 5 miles away. But this same guy was in a cart playing golf by himself! No way we would have figured that out with no one answering phone at clubhouse. Figured out to go to different course and clubhouse attendant said we were lucky they didnt call police on us at 1st course. Customer service was of the lecture type telling us "you should have known!" Lol, i live on a resort golf course in Kentucky and people pay after all the time if attendants are not around or if you play from your house. You can go, but i will have to make sure i have a white guy in my group to go back again!
