By far the best public golf experience in Orange County.
• Well maintained, Tom Fazio designed golf course. Peaceful and quiet round with absolutely no houses around the course - love that!
• Amazing practice area. The huge, all grass range, generous pitching/chipping area, and putting green let you work on all parts of your game in style day or night (lights until 10pm). I drive past a bunch of other driving ranges to go to this one. Its really just that much better,.
• Staff is always helpful and friendly.
A must see & play. As close to a private club experience as you can get.

Good with a discount
Played on New Year's day because the rate was only $65.00 and I was curious to play it. I was not about to pay $135. The range balls are expensive $18.00 for a large and a lot of the balls are old and faded. Come on get some new balls for that. The "grass" is dirt and mowed to the bone.
The course is wide, and relatively flat. The trouble is on the greens. They are fairly fast and you should know how to read greens. There are a lot of breaks. Fairways are tight but, burned out a little. The area around the green needs some attention. I would give this a B- if you get a deal like I did. If you pay $135.00 it's a C-. Put the money you collect into the course.
OC GOLF AT ITS BEST.
Great layout . Bunkering makes each hole look really good from the tee and to the green. Firm , fast greens . Interesting dog legs . Really good. Pace of play could be better. Marshall made a difference to quicken it up on back 9.
Greens are unplayable
This is the greatest example of “you get what you pay for” we drove from Orange County to play here and the greens are basically unplayable. You can’t run the greens at a 13 then put pins on side slopes. Greens have zero bite when chipping you may as well putt anywhere inside 100 yards. Fairways beat up, bunkers have excavator track marks and Tee boxes are not kept. Lesson learned, play goose creek instead.
Slow pace of play. The greens are in above average shape. But the fairways were soggy due to recent rain
The greens were good. The fairways were soggy. But overall it was a pleasure
Great Christmas day family golf outing
Friendly staff, quick in and out. Great course condition even after raining for several days the fairway is not muddy at all, the green is smooth and speed is consistent. Overall a great course to play on Christmas day.
Nothing special
Based on other reviews I read, I was expecting more of a picturesque course. Nothing special though.
Driving range off mats and very busy! Most people there not actually playing the course.
Round very slow. Waited on every shot. Greens inconsistent.
Oak Creek After Pelican Hill
Great course, great layout. Played behind UC Irvine golf team and they let me play through as a single.
Punched Greens
One of the best courses in Orange County, I paid a reduce rate for what I'm assuming was the recent punching of the greens. In addition, several of the greens are undergoing maintenance on the fringe, which are heavily sanded. While this detracted from the normal putting experience and play around the greens, my round at Oak Creek was enjoyable.
I enjoy layout out of this course, which offers beautiful views free of traffic, homes, and other distractions. You truly feel out in nature when playing this course, away from everything. However, a construction project, adjacent to the back half of the course has removed several trees, which changes the scenery. I'll assume that this will all be corrected at the conclusion of the outside construction project.
Normally, the greens run true and are beautiful to putt, and I look forward to coming back out when they recover from their needed maintenance. The course is a pleasure to play and the staff are first rate, friendly, and professional, really adding to the overall experience.
Playing Oak Creek makes me feel like I'm a member of a country club, and I will be back to play again soon!
Rewarding good shots
I really enjoyed playing this course, although my first time because of the typical green fees approach $200, I jumped on because I found a rare $99 deal on GolfNow. What I really like is the layout and playability of the course, it doesn’t punish/penalize you for good shots like some of the area’s canyon courses.
Amenities were great, but drinks at the bar were pricey. Enjoyed the range size and access. Love to play here more often but need the green fees to come down to other comparable course in the area, about $50 too much.
