Great day of Golf
Course is beautiful, Greens are in good shape, Couldnt had had a better time!!! Worth the cost.
Good deal for a reason?
Standard rates here are $150. I would never play this course at that price, but for $74 we jumped at it. It's a great layout, with some really challenging holes. Very long par 3s and a few really long 4s, but wide fairways and bail out areas balance it out.
Greens were in good shape other than a lot of fringe issues on many of the holes (disease maybe?). But the sand... oh man. This course has a LOT of bunkers. I found myself in more than one. A couple had actual sand in them, but most were basically concrete. For the going rate, I expected more. Fill up those bunkers. Also, the edges of the course seemed to be chewed up pretty massively. Really lumpy, little mounds of dirt, etc. Not sure what's going on. Bottom line, I'd play this course weekly at $74 for the layout alone, and my rating is based on that price. At $150, its never gonna happen. It should also be noted that the starter is pretty awesome. Really nice guy.
Good track
Conditions and pace were good. Not fabulous for the $150 plus rate. Overpriced but enjoyable. Staff is pretty good.
'Golf at Oak Creek
Fine golf course in excellent condition. Friendly staff .
Always worth it!
Although they had recently punched the greens, this course never disappoints!
Good Times
Great time to get out for half the cost. but i knew there was something up with that. Besides the hot extreme weather. it was good at the first 9 holes. then pretty much wait every 10-13min ea tee box after that. started at 11:44am finished at 5:15
Love this Course
If I could play Oak Creek for $59 I would play it every weekend. I really like the course. This was the 4th or 5th time I played Oak Creek and each time the pace of play was excellent, the conditions were great and the weather perfect.
Decent course
Been wanting to play this place for awhile now. Saw it was $66 on golf now so I took it. Staff was great when I arrived, took my bag and showed me to the golf shop. Inside staff was friendly. When I went to go to cart, the cart had a flat (how do you miss that??). Gave me a new cart with no problem and I was off. Ended up being paired up with another guy and we played as a twosome in between a foursome and a threesome. Pace of play was barely ok but not great as we waited on each hole with at least a group or two on the tee. Noticed the gps was completely off on my cart and apparently it was for the group in front of us and behind us. Also the back bumper on my cart was falling off. Course conditions were good. I had paid $66 for a weekday round with cart and thought it was a little high but not bad. If I had paid the $155 it usually is I would've been very upset. Overall nice place but I had expected better equipment for the price.
Great layout and great condition!
Anytime you can get on this course for $66, play it! I did think that $12 for a small bucket of balls was too much though. Overall, a great course to play! Thank you, Golf now!
Great Course in irvine
It was my first time. i was nervous at first. practicing here a lot and always heard great things, finally got a price that was worth it to play. it was great until i got there and club pro told me its very busy and packed. he wasn't wrong. about 15min per hole wait. sometimes quicker, then a group of 3 jumped in between a group in front, they said they were let on by club pro on 10th. called in and they lied. then come to find out they are workers. " which obviously they knew from saying they were let on " what is that about. we scrambled the last two holes cause i wanted to finish. but i had a blast with my buddy. would come again , but my first time there was good , then again didn't think a course this up there, where i had to deal with issues like that.
Best Public Course In OC
This course has the quality of a private club. The fairways grass is phenomenal, the tee boxes are well maintained, and the course has enough character to keep you entertained every time you play. If you can get it for a discounted rate, I don't think there is a better course you can get onto without a private membership.
Great Course for THIS rate
I've played Oak Creek twenty or more times since it opened during the late twentieth century. I've played it twice in the last fifteen years. Why? Cost. For $38.00 this was a screaming deal through GolfNow. For $135.00 I'd never, ever play here. Yes, it's a great track; the greens are large, but somewhat pockmarked. For $135, you'd better have your staff out there fixing the greens at night. The fairways are generous, the food great; they comped me two bottles of water an a cooler of ice (it was 105 degrees). We lost one player about eight holes in.
The staff are amazing. They are friendly, courteous, and the Marshall actually bumped the group ahead of us aside to let us play through. These are greedy people, however. I went to 'chip' on the chipping green before the round and they told me that it was rental only. I went to get a warm up bucket and it was $12. I've posted a picture of their rules.
We played a fairly sparse course in 3 hours 15 minutes. I'd love to play here more often . . . for a hundred less than they're asking. Great course, over priced except on a deal. I'll be looking...
Great course
If I see another deal under $100, I will play this course every time. Not sure I would pay the normal rack rates, but for $89 it was fantastic.
Great course
Very much like a private course. The only thing needs improvement was the pace of play.
Good layout, disappointing condition
Good Fazio layout but greens were poor and a number of fringes being repaired and not in good order. Should have been offered a discounted rate. Also disappointing that range balls had to be paid for
