Executive course options
For an inexpensive executive course, this one is the best in San Diego.
Great Executive Course!
I really enjoyed Emerald Isle. As far as executive courses go, it is very well-maintained and fun to play. The course design is better than Mission Bay & San Marcos in that there is more natural landscaping between fairways and you never feel surrounded by other players. The holes play much like any other exec course with some moderate water hazard and sand trap obstacles, but never over challenging for adv. beginner - intermediate players. The golfnow deal was a great value. Definitely playing here again!
Tough executive
Fun course... Greens were in nice shape, but super soft.
A definite executive course favorite. Kudos to staff.
Narrow fairways, very demanding straight shots. A wonderful course to hone your irons. Staff was friendly inside and outside pro shop - courteous and honest. Forgot my iphone in the cart, called them after an hour and Luke had my phone secured. Highly recommended, am definitely coming back to.
Best deal in N. County SD.
Lengthwise this is your typical executive course. What makes it a bit more challenging is the fact that it is carved into the hilly natural terrain - not to mention the 3 holes in which you have to clear a pond. This makes for a fantastic layout. It is maintained very well, and the greens have become especially nice recently!
PS - 18 hole play time is under 3 hours at a leisurely pace.
Worn Course
Emerald Isle is a fun neighborhood course, laid back feel that you can play in a short amount of time. Course water features were all but empty, the fairways were in ok condition and the greens were in great shape. Its a short executive course with a couple of short par fours, which allow for a good eagle opportunities.
Perfectly maintained.
Well maintained and very friendly staff. Very positive experience. Highly recommended.
A fun course for a quick round.
Nicely cared for and a great workout if you choose to walk it. I can use every club in the bag on this course.
Great lil executive course.
My friend and I had a great time playing here. Definately worth the price for an executive course. We will be playing here again for sure!
The course was in great shape!
I was a few minutes early when I checked in. The attendant let me play earlier than my scheduled tee time. I didn't have to wait for another player which was nice. Some courses would let you wait for a partner. The greens were in tip top shape. It was a hot day and there was somebody watering the greens. For the price that I paid, I had a good bargain! I just found a course that I'll be playing more often.
Had a lot of fun. Not crowded.
The sign-up for tee time system, on-line, worked perfectly. They were expecting me and I got right onto the course. Would go again.
Will definitely use GolfNow.com again.
Executive course
Its not bad for an executive course. I will say the green are way to soft, my golf balls just stick in the green.
A rapidly-improving executive course
Management is working hard to improve course conditions; new sand in bunkers, well-maintained greens. It's a fine place to work on your par 3 play.
Challenging short course.
A little backed up at first, but had a good first experience at this course with my son and two regulars that we played with - one of whom got a hole in one on the 3rd - way to go Willie!
Fun on a Friday Afternoon
I have been to Emerald Isle a couple times and really enjoy the elevation changes. The golf carts are kind of slow but my overall experience was great. I shot my best score there and will go again this weekend.
