About
Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., Apollo Beach Golf Club features large, well- bunkered greens and long tee boxes with generous fairways. The course is designed around many small lakes and inlets that dominate the landscape, bringing water into play on every hole. One trip around the layout and you will know that there are all sorts of unseen challenges awaiting golfers of all skill levels. The snack bar/restaurant offers home cooked breakfasts and lunches featuring specials daily.

Worst golf experience ever....
I booked my time online and arrived on time. I paid and was sent to the starter. After he finished his 5 minute phone conversation he told me the group I was to play with had already left. (Mind you, I was on time for my tee time) He then informed me if I hurried I could leave in front of a league that was getting started. I told him I would not mind waiting, although I shouldn't have had too as I was on time, and to let them go. I loaded my bag on my cart and sat patiently while the league guys got started, after about 10 minutes of waiting the starter approached me and said I should start on the back rather than keep waiting. I thanked him and headed to the back 9. At the the 10th tee I waited while a group played and as I was about to tee off another group shows up and rudely asked "Who told you to play here"? I replied the starter had sent me back and he rudely stated that they were playing between. Again, trying to mind my manners I let them proceed and then started my game. On my second shot another person shows and states, "You know, you're playing in the middle of a league here". I let him have it, I lit into him, and he promptly backed off, but by this time I had had enough. I picked up my ball and headed for the pro shop where I demanded a refund. It was given, and I left. I would like to be refunded for the service fee I paid here in advance as well. I went to my local course, Diamond Hill, where they fit my right in with a group and I had a great round. I will never return to Apollo Beach again. Horrible club.

First time golfing Apollo Beach with our friends.
Perfect golf day... warm and sunny with a nice breeze.
The course is in pretty good shape... plays a little long for me, that's probably why I got beat by my wife. Plenty of water on the course... I added 9 golf balls to it. Had a great time... love that it played fast, in just over 3 hours.
Gave us time to visit the nearby Manatee Viewing Center
and have dinner at Circles. Reportedly, this course may close sometime in 2021... I hope not. We've played it each year for over 20 years. Our neighbors in our St. Petersburg condo assn. play with us and they loved it!

A Classic Design
This RT Jones Sr course is a wonderful design . It is challenging but very playable for people of all handicaps. Greens are fast and pure . I enjoy it every time I play it ; it is a great value

Okay at Best!
Course could use some work. Hard to find a ball washer or garbage can on the course. Maintenance needs to be improved as course seems neglected in places on fairways and tee boxes.
Staff seem disengaged.
On the positive side, course has nice layout and Could be a great play!

A Goat Track
I can’t believe there’s some descent reviews on this course. It’s horrible. No grass on the fairways. Greens are horrendous, and the tee boxes are terrible. It’s not even worth the $35 we paid. Save your money, you’re better off playing virtual golf.
I was only being truthful about the condition of the course. I’m not bashing it. I’m sorry if that’s the way my review was taken . If you ask for a review and don’t like it , why bother.

Likable course....
Lots of water, so keeps you on your toes.....greens are fast and in good condition......unfortunately, it appears that most of the members don't fill in their fairway divots and the bunkers are equally as badly kept...literally watched players in front of us play out of bunkers with no attempt at raking afterwards BUT, for the money, it was still a fun day out. Staff were nice.

The course is decent but nothing special with conditions. Greens are fast but divots and little hops here and there from your ball don’t help

Nice course
Pretty good day here. Price was right played the palms and the oak courses. As the other reviews state the greens are definitely smaller than most courses. Fairways were good tee boxes and greens were all good. Very playable. I will definitely be back to play again.
