Grove/Lake at Errol Country Club

Found the course to be in fine condition. Enjoyed the round and got an excellent rate on GolfNow. Will play there again.

Having played this since maybe '13 vowed then not to play it again, then I saw the price for 18 early AM read a few of the latest reviews and here I am breaking another vow. I must say over the track is in great shape and the ground crews are working diligently to make it better (hats off). One draw back if can get the speed up on the front to that of the back I give them a grade B+, yet for the going $ rate for 18 you deserving of A for where you have come.

I had not played here since last year because the course was awful - greens were patchy, fairways brown, tee boxes were sand and nothing more - just nobody wanted to take any care of it. I returned having seen a few reviews that conditions had improved and I was pleasantly surprised. It is much improved although there is still some work to do. The greens, save for one or two, were in good shape and rolling pretty true. The fairways were hard to distinguish from the rough but the rough wasn't that tall anyway. There was actually grass in the tee box areas - gee, that's a switch. It was hot but I really liked the course. I will be returning with the understanding that the maintenance will continue to be a priority and the price doesn't jump too high too fast.

They dont know how to set up tee time efficiently. Everyone is lined up like cattle then every tee time is like 2 min apart so after the first group goes everyone follows behind just waiting and waiting forever.. Slowest round every played.. Plus they will stick random people in your group with out asking you which is super annoying. Wouldn't waste the $ again..

Played out here 1 month ago and the greens were like putting at Augusta, best greens I have played in the orlando area. Now I know there are those out there who have played here over the years and said the back side was horrible, due to lack of care and watering, however that has been corrected and so you should not hestitate to give this course another shot and you will be pleased as to its awesome condition.They recently (1 month ago) punched the greens, which is a good thing, as it shows they are on top the their game as far as course management is concerned.

Play the course often, usually it's in great shape. Right now the greens have been sanded so they are little bit of a challenge. Awesome for the price though.

What a shame this was a majestic course at one time. Run down and forgotten is the best way to describe. The staff could care less about you being there. If it makes it a another year it will be a a surprise.l

Course is in decent shape. Two greens need some improvement but over all is a great playing course. Went off at 8:30 and finished at 11:45. Had a great time.

I've played here once before; however I think the course isn't marked well. It's confusing to get from the practice range to the 1st tee. I would suggest improved marking. The tee boxes are pretty beat up, but the fairways and greens were in pretty decent shape. No cart girls on a Saturday so make sure you have plenty of water. Course played well and it's a really good value. I will certainly play here again.

Excellent greens

I live in the area so I've played this course a number of times, towards the ending of 2015 the course was really in need of some TLC so I started going else where to play .but to my surprise on my return for a quick round with my brother in the middle of May I was quite pleased with the improvement that I have seen , most of the tee boxes ,fairways,and greens are in good playing conditions.So for those who already know the course and those who wants to give it a try ,for the price you just can't go wrong.i say go give it a try and determine for yourself.

It would of been nice if Golfnow would of mentioned that there were only nine holes open. The Highland part of the course was closed and not even mentioned at the course!!! Felt I should of been notified or given replay!!!

It would have been nice to know that certain holes were closed due to irrigation work prior to booking. Club house landscaping and parking area are in need of serious upgrades. It's a good thing a bad day of golf is better than a good day at work. Schedule with caution as the cost of the course is not worth what you pay.

Very memorable holes on this course. Fairways, in most cases, are wide and forgiving. Greens generally are large - certainly a plus. Condition of the course, however, is not so good. Greens have, in many cases, dead patches and are very bumpy - hard to putt. Fairway grass is sparse, but you can move ball to a grass patch. Sand traps and tees are good. A fun course to play because of the interesting holes, but don't pay more than $12 on a Hot Deal; you probably will be disappointed if you do. Definitely a fun practice course.

First, I haven't played this course since last summer and now I will not play it again. We arrived an hour early hit range balls that were included in the booking but the only problem is that they closed the range that morning. We asked then to go off earlier and they complied but there was no ranger and groups were going out on top of each other and we were rushed the front nine. We stopped to have lunch and when we continued we were told by a group behind us that we we're in the middle of a local tournament. We were not informed of this from the pro shop and again no ranger. We went ahead and played but at one point we were accused of moving a close to pin card that we did not touch. After I got home, I realized that I left a vest on my cart, when I called back a lady said they were closed. I called back again and the pro shop said nothing was turned in, not even bothering to check. It's funny that the return cart area it's only accessible to employees, one of my group lost a head cover but it was found and returned by a player, at least they're honest. The course overall is in bad shape, no grass on greens or fairways. Save your money and play elsewhere, there are too many courses in Orlando that are better and treat you like they want your business.

I've played this course a dozen times in the past couple of years. It has a very enjoyable layout and can be quite demanding if the wind is blowing hard. Currently the fairways are a bit thin, but roll the ball over to a good spot if needed and it's acceptable. Tee boxes also need some TLC but nothing that prevents a good shot. The greens however :( even though the majority of greens had grass you'd think they were basketball courts the way the ball bounced this way and that on the way to the hole. Just not enjoyable when putting comes down to luck when the ball zigs and zags heading toward the hole. A bit pricey at $24 - a course in this shape at this time is better priced around $16.

I have played here several times. Very enjoyable layout. However conditions seem to be fading. Fairways very thin. Greens ok. I realize there are quite a few members. We player on a Thursday took almost 4 1/2 hrs +. We waited on every shot and every hole. No course ranger. IF you have time I would recommend the layout. Hope course condition will improve.

Just Terrible conditions. There is No grass in the fairways, no grass on greens. The entire course is like made up of concrete blocks!! I regret that I went all the way out there on a Sunday and wasted my money on whatever it was I played on!!
