Apopka Golf & Tennis at Errol Estate

This course is in one of it best conditions in nearly a decade. It's beyond beautiful, cleaned up and well maintained & the greens are immaculant. Thoroughly enjoyed playing. Luckily, right now, it's wide open. Pace of play is perfect to any style golfer as we let two groups through without any issues and it was extremely easy to handle.

This course is well cared for though the greens were very slow when I played. The roadway by the 7th hole continues to get in my head as I keep spraying balls over the wall. The fairways are fairly wide though there are some holes where the trees may provide a challenge. Overall, this is a course I'd play again when I visit the area again. My only complaint was the guy in the golf shop being more interested in a personal call and lack of items sold in the shop. They didn't even have tees. Thank heavens I had plenty of balls.

The course Is in decent shape but for the price you can't beat the value. Only complaint is the pace of play.

This course continues to impress me. I am glad to see the new owner putting money into the course first before considering repairing parking lots or clubhouse. The fairways, boxes and greens are in very good condition! The greens could run a little faster but in time they will. If I had to say anything negative it would be the lack of a ranger. Played in the afternoon as a single and couldn't really play through due to the many foursomes in front with slow play. I still enjoyed the course and will continue to tell friends about how well it is coming along! Great value!!!

The course was in excellent condition. There are a lot of bunkers but helps to keep things interesting. The greens were excellent and along with the tee boxes. We will be back and recommend the corse to my friends. We enjoyed our day

If there was a ranger on the course to actually make groups keep pace, it would be a real bonus. Played as a single and was behind a four and a three ahead. When I caught up to the four, they were kind enough to let me play through which I appreciated. Same can't be said for the three that became a two on the back. This group was so slow, I gave up after 14. No water on the course at all which is unforgivable. And it seems members are paid a little more attention than visitors., the attitude shows. Won't go back anytime soon.

Updated review: The course has made a lot of changes since my first review. They have finally have a Starter on the weekends, which makes a huge difference, and the course is in very good condition. Other courses seem to be suffering but this course looks very good. You won't find a better looking course at this current price point. Great job listening to your customers and making the needed changes. I've been to the course 3 weeks in a row and I'll continue going.

I have played this course many times in the past and have to say that it just keeps on getting better and better. The only drawback is that the greens are slower than average but they are clean. Great value. Worth the drive from Orlando.

It has been a number of years since I played this course and heard they had removed one of their 9 hole sections. I also heard the course was not in great condition. I was pleased to find the staff very friendly, course in good condition, and a fantastic rate. Will not hesitate to return.

Better care of the greens. This course would be great. For the value you pay it is a good course. Friendly staff and cart girl comes around more than a few times. I will be playing it again

The greens are in great shape and are rolling very true. The bunkers are all well maintained and have an adequit amount of consistent sand in them. The fairways are in nice shape and there are no wet areas or unusual places with standing water.

Great Layout; Beautiful rolling hills; Better sharpen your 'sand game' as both greens and fairways are well guarded; Generous landing areas, but stray too far and you'll need to reload. We played on a Tues. at 4:00 and saw only two other golfers. 94*,, no doubt, made it too hot for some. Greens probably weren't cut this day as they rolled very slow, but true.

The greens have come a long way. With all the undulating greens it would be real challenging if the greens got any faster then 9.5. On this particular day it was closer to a 9. You have to pay attention to all the hill side greens otherwise the greens may seem inconsistent. A little course knowledge. Fairways and greens are very playable but the rough is punishing with uneven lies and dirt patches. Keep it on the short grass. Fun track over all with hills to protect the course.

This is the 2nd time I've played Apopka Tennis and Golf. This course is a welcome change in terrain from the flat fairways typically seen around the Orlando area. Rolling hills and wide fairways almost transform you to Georgia and the Carolina's. The tee boxes and greens were in excellent shape with challenging pin placements. I don't know why I haven't returned sooner. No doubt, this course is a diamond in the rough.

The prices right now here are down right ridiculous. The only small complaint I have is I would prefer a little faster greens but they are in EXCELLENT shape and roll true and they're not long, I just like fast greens. The layout is excellent and invites you to hit most of your clubs yet if you love hitting driver the fairways and rough are fairly wide on most par 4's and 5's. Excellent grass everywhere. When we saw the prices, we assumed it must be in slightly rough shape but that couldn't be further from the truth. It would be a good deal at 3 to 4 times the rate they're charging right now. Get out there, you won't regret it.

This place needs to be played like winter park pines, it's less expensive and in better shape plus is a true par 72 with an excellent layout and variety of scenic holes.
