2nd hole, , Blue course, Par3 Photo submitted by Manon1416068 on 12/12/2019
Myakka Pines Golf
I liked this course. It's composed of 3 9 hole sections, designated red, white and blue. We played red and white which are very similar courses. Tees are in good condition as were the fairways even tho' the lack of rain has firmed the grounds. The greens run fast. Some of the greens are more challenging
the subtle undulations. The holes, in many cases, run very close to one another, some with combined/shared greens. The famous monster gator has been relocated to another location but his children are still around. The pace of play was right on the money and we finished in 4 hours 10 minutes. All in all, a very enjoyable round, and worth a repeat.
Good Round
Course was in very good condition. Greens were quite fast. They should have water stands for the clients.
needs water really bad
Pace of play it was terrible. Course was dry and rockhard greens
Great value
Had a great experience and the employees were great. The course had some wear in places but was a great value for the area. The hamburger is huge and tastes amazing.
It’s a beautiful course. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful
Decent course but sub par conditions
I have played this course many times and it is usually in pretty good shape. They have done a few improvements such as club house, clearing of many areas, and newly cemented pathways. Unfortunately the rest of the course appeared to have been neglected. Many fairways had lots of bare spots and the tees and greens were soso. The bunkers were ok and well raked. The driving range needs some attention. I might return if the conditions improved.
Very appreciate staff
Extremely friendly staff who were prepared to help you in anyway needed. They were very courteous, polite.
very poor course conditions
I have played this course in the past and while not great it at least had grass fairways ; this time though there was no grass whatsoever the course was so dead it looked like a cow pasture looked like it had not been watered in months and we have had a cool winter here with alot of rain .So i stopped in to see the manager Polly Porter the head pro and she said that the town was giving them a problem with watering and i asked for a free round later on and she said no cant do that .
Burned out fairways - needs a reseeding
Played the white and blue at 7:25 this morning. Our 3-some played in 3 hours! Bag drop guys, pro shop and starter were all friendly.
For $50 I can't complain too much. The tee boxes, greens and bunkers were all in very good condition, but the fairways were burned out with a lot of dirt (white course). The course needs a reseeding big time! There is also no rough off the fairways. Everything is cut to one length.
Truest greens around
Great time as always. The wind increased the degree of difficulty a notch or two.
Fair value
Greens are dry and fast. Tee’s are generally good with some beaten up pretty well.
Fairways are dry and in need of water. They are a little thin in many places.
Overall a good course for the money.
While we do have some problem areas we are in the process of addressing, saying "no grass whatsoever" is an exaggeration. We continually look to advance the conditions of play. On occasion mother nature hampers us in this pursuit. Cool and wet is not the formula for Bermuda turf grass.
