Myrtle Beach National Golf Club - King's North Course
About
For years, the King's North Course at Myrtle Beach National has been the most requested and best recognized golf course on the Grand Strand. The par-3, third hole with its island green and South Carolina-shaped sandtraps has become the signature hole for Myrtle Beach. King's North features some dramatic and unique holes. The par-5 sixth hole is nicknamed "The Gambler" and features an unusual island fairway which offers golfers a risk-reward short-cut to the green for a chance at eagle. The 18th hole, nicknamed "The Bull's-eye" by Golf Magazine, is a sight to behold. More than 40 sandtraps guard either side of the fairway and the green reaches out into a lake offering, at times, a very tempting pin placement.

Great Course!
Loved the layout, staff were A+, pace of play was great, all around great day of golf. Will definitely play here again!
Alway a treat
Superb layout and great conditions with no 2 holes alike....create a great golfing experience. A must play...bring a good iron game with lot of carries to guarded greens.
Great layout and condition
Exceeded our expectations. Very challenging yet pkayable. A beautiful course. Staff were super friendly and accommodating.
Myrtle Beach National
Course in good shape didn’t really care for the distance on most par 4’s all close to same length, staff was a little cold and not very friendly but it was a wet day! Enjoyed the round anyway!
Kings North
Gnats are non stop wherever you go at this place in the summer. Hard to focus over the ball. Although the few iconic holes are appealing to the eye, the value for money is so so. Much better places to play in the area at that price point
Arnie's place
One step in the pro-shop and you know you are at Arnie's place.
Challenging course- good layout and good greens. Gambler hole is a fun twist for a par-5
Beautiful course
Very nice course and visuals. Lots of water but player friendly landing zones are more generous than they look
Awesome course
Sone challenging water holes that you can go for or take the easy route which maybe the right choice. But not for me I needed to go for it. Down here for 3 days and apparently we saved the best for last.
Overall very nice
Staff very friendly
Course in very good shape
Nice layout lots of water that comes into play
Only negatives- 1) several twosomes including me so pace was slow , lit of waiting shot to shot
2) front nine was cart path only due to something applied to the grass - that’s always a drag
But I’d play it agsin
Great.courses
A little pricey. Doesn’t offer military discount like the other courses in the area.
Great Course
From the 1 st tee to the last .. great holes await you! The greens were some of the best we played all week. Very fair course with lots of water and sand. Must play in Myrtle Beach!
Placement Golf on Steroids
First of all the course was an excellent value with COVID pricing. The course conditions and staff were good too. I just didn't like PAR 70 course with only two par fives and there were many short dog leg left holes that require a perfectly placed tee ball with an iron or fairway wood. The gimmick hole GAMBLER is one of the bright spots. The par threes are short but fun. i doubt I will ever play this course again but it is ONLY because of the placement golf layout and not the condition of the course or the staff. The other two courses are always in good shape also.
Arnie's Place at the Beach
Played everywhere over 40 years. I love this course. It has all the feel of greatness and deserves everything ever said about it. No longer on the 100 list, but it should be. It is a perfect example of a Parkland Course. You can pay much more in Myrtle, and my rate was Covid19 impacted, but this stands with other Myrtle Beach notables like Caledonia, True Blue, Love at Barefoot. The Golf press has simply forget it is here.
