Myrtle Beach National Golf Club - South Creek Course
About
Southcreek winds through a magnificent setting of coastal wetlands and hardwood forests. Most golfers find SouthCreek to be the "finess" course of the three golf courses at Myrtle Beach National. At just over 6,400 yards from the back tees, SouthCreek requires less distance but greater accuracy. Numerous waste areas and well protected bentgrass greens, place a premium on your course management and shot-making ability.

Mb national southcreek
Had a fun time playing South Creek...course in good shape..greens were smooth and rolled with good pace. Kings North is obviously the gem of the property but this was a fun lil course. Lots of fun holes lots of par 4's under 400 yds requiring accuracy not distance....warning*** they run split tees...don't think a morning time will help you beat the hackers...u wait on them at the turn
Lot's of unique holes
Course is in excellent shape tee to greens. Greens are putting true & quick. Pace of play was 4hrs for our foursome. Nice collection of different holes.
Nice Layout
Course was in excellent shape. Tee Boxes, Fairways & Greens were super. Lot's of character to this course. Good selection of Par 3's & Par 5's
South Creek...a gem.
Very nice layout; excellent condition; under 4 hour round; quick greens; best we played in MB
Good to return to Myrtle Beach National, Southcreek
I've played this course about 5 years ago and remember it a being challenging but fair. Nothing has really changed. Overall conditions were good considering the area had received 4+ inches of rain a couple of days before.
Awesome Time
Greens was in excellent condition. Fairways nice cut and excellent as well. Staff was friendly and course had everything you could want.
A very nice experience
A cordial staff, with a well organized system. A wonderful round, even in the rain. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful conditions....very challenging.
Excellent value for money....beautifully maintained and quite challenging.
Course was in great shape
Was a single and paired up with 3 golfers from Germany. Only one spoke broken English but had a great time. Course was in great shape. The greens ran very true if you putted on the correct line. I would play here again.
very open course
The course was in good condition. They were remodeling the clubhouse but it was still open and all amenities were available. The greens we fast and well maintained.
Excellent all around experience!
I played this course in late May and it was great. The greens fees were incredible for the condition and layout ($44.00). A course like this would be over $75.00 in Massachusetts. The fairways were well maintained and the greens were great. The staff was extra friendly and let my 22 year old son join us as he was injured and could not play. Great track- would definately go back!
Great conditions
Will go there again for sure! Fast smooth greens, well maintained
Danes in Myrtle Beach
Beautiful course, perfect weather.....
Wish I could play the other courses at MBN.
Hope to come back soon.....
Very nice course!
Played three courses while in myrtle and this was the best! Greens a tad slow but the rest of the course more than made up for it. Great value at $68 on golfnow.com.
Wet but rewarding
Weather finally cooperated with us and allowed us to play. Wet fairways meant cart path only golf, but on the other hand, made any heavy shots not so heavy. Finished in just under 4 1/2 hrs.
Personally, I like to see marshals on their rounds. It means the club is interested in more than just your up-front money. Saw our marshall four times. (As many as the beverage cart.) He was courteous and informative.
Vert good
Nice golf course , good condition and good Green fee
Ill be backgammon anytime
Is this a golf course or a community?
We played all three courses at MBN and really enjoyed Kings North and West course...but the South course was very disappointing. The starter said "it was a little tighter" but we found it ridiculously tight. It's woven through a community and the homes are literally right on the course. There is very little room for error. The condition of this course wasn't as good as the other two either. Don't waste you're time or money on this one.
The weakest link at MBN
I'm a big fan of two of the three courses at Myrtle Beach National, but I have a hard time getting on board with Southcreek. It's a little too dated, cramped and generic for my tastes. It's the only course here at MBN that has houses lining every hole and it's shortish yardage with severe doglegs means a lot of irons off the tee. Seniors may enjoy this element though (but not the wealth of sand). If you're on one of the many golf packages that includes free replays, stick to the other two here. The West is the same price point and has a much more fun routing, while King's North is one of my favorite MB splurges.
