Wolf Creek Golf Club
About
For golfers who want real desert, making the 80-minute drive from Sin City's high-tech neon to Mesquite's low-tech neon is a road to travel.
For in Mesquite, there's not just old ladies at old-time slots. There's Wolf Creek Golf Club, an exceeding tough golf course where you might just run into a real-life road runner. This course features true desert canyons and all the wildlife that scampers across them.
The second tee box is 11 stories up. That's right, 11 stories up. Fantastic vision was encouraged at this Arnold Palmer design with helicopters being used to cart some of the rocks around and build higher holes. The bunkers are filled with crushed granite, providing another unique playing experience.
Wolf Creek was built to put Mesquite golf on the map. It succeeded.

A golf course shouldn’t be here
The way this place is cut into the bluffs and canyons is almost inconceivable! Breathtaking views on every hole, blind tee shots, major elevation changes; this place has it all. Even the cart rides are an adventure. I’ve never had to focus so much while driving the cart lol! Staff is super knowledgeable about the course, friendly, and enthusiastic about their jobs. Worth every penny. Definitely go check this place out!
Astonishing views, but astonishingly difficult
There is no doubt about it, this has got to be the most spectacular golf course with the most astonishing views I've ever been on. Every hole seems like a signature hole. The elevation changes are jaw dropping and down right ridiculous. There was a hole that was so elevated, that I was actually above a red tail hawk's flight path. The course is extremely pretty. But, it is also extremely difficult, especially from the tees we played from. The starter did tell us that the blue tees were for single digit handicappers and boy I wish we would have listened to him, because it was a miserable time trying to get the ball in play off the tee. I will want to return, but next time I would play from the right tees.
An amazing experience
I have always wanted to play here. Finally did and had a great day, 90 degrees, sunny and no wind, what a day. It’s a challenge out there but course plays very fair if you’re striking it well. Will definitely play again next time I’m down there
Great Track
Tough Iconic course, lots of fun holes and scenic views. Course was in nice shape considering the winter they had. Will definitely play again
Best In Mesquite
Must say playing here is amazing. The hole layout and design is very challenging but it is fun never boring. Don’t expect to shoot the round of your life but be prepared to take pictures. The staff are very friendly and will make sure your needs are met. The gas carts do not have a GPS but don’t let that keep you from playing - get a yardage book! You will hear this is a video game in real life and it’s true. Would play here every day if I could!
Sprinklers on our last 3 holes-seriously!
The course itself was pristine. The starters and rangers on the course were nice, but the tall guy at the front desk needs another job! If he’s one of the pros he should take up tennis. He was incredibly rude and so full of himself when we talked to him on several occasions. Have never experienced such an obnoxious front desk individual and we each play more 100 rounds a year. We booked a 1:50 tee time and with sunset being at 6:45 expected easily to finish. It was slow as the guys in front of us wanted to get their money’s worth by playing from tees far above their abilities. How shocked we were when we got to the 16th hole and the sprinklers were on. We called the clubhouse and were told a maintenance guy was on the way to turn the sprinklers off. We finished 16 and were met with sprinklers running on 17th and 18th fairways and greens. As the foursomes behind us started piling up waiting for the maintenance man to turn off the sprinklers, we called it quits. The course itself was quite an experience, but would never need to play it again. Much better experience at Oasis Canyons and Palmer for a fraction of the price.
Don't waste your money
Very dissapointing day at Wolf Creek, It's a beautiful course with breathtaking views but the Accolades stop there. The price we paid $330 was up from $260 a year ago, we had 8 golfers so do the math. The carts were old gas carts you would find at your local Municipial course and had no GPS so before we teed off I went back into the Pro shop and asked if we could get 2 yardage books. The Pro said sure 5 dollars each, I just looked at him and said Really? we just gave you 2700 bucks. So off we go without the books which turned out to be costly, lost balls everywhere not knowing how far out the trouble was and guessing on the blind holes. Back to the Carts, on the 2nd hole 1 of them was really struggling to climb the hills so we called the clubhouse and asked if we could get another sent out to us. 2 holes later we called back and they finally got us a cart on the 7th hole. The bathroom between 5 and 14 was filthy and stunk of urine and was totally out of soap. No rakes in the Sand traps or the carts which I've never seen anywhere but plenty of footprints to play out of. Nobody around to help after the round to clean clubs or help with the carts, Have never paid so much and gotten so little in the way of service or appreciation. Save your money and don't waste your time with this place there are 5 other great courses in Mesquite at a 3rd of the mone.y

Great course with amazing views
Wolf Creek is an amazing piece of property that just so happens to have a golf course on it! There is a wow factor on almost every hole with some amazing views. The course itself was in great shape but is quite difficult. Some tough drives and forced carries off the tee add to that. Although if you are hitting the ball well you still can score but danger lurks just about everywhere! The course is quite expensive but was worth it to play once or twice. The only slight negative I would have is the condition of the carts. This is a tough course for the carts too so I was surprised our cart didn’t have better brakes and tires! A little scary when you are coming down a 100 foot decline! Especially with the little bit of rain we had. Overall this is a great course and a fun layout. Make sure to bring a camera…. and a few extra balls.
All the negative reviews are right.
Great course layout with greens so hard it's almost like a gimmick. You can drop a ball straight down from 5 feet above the cup and it will roll of the green.
Everything else is rubbish. Staff is unfriendly and the amenities are a joke. They act like they are doing you a favor by LETTING you pay $250 to play their course. So many other courses for a comparative price that actually appreciate your business .
Phenomenal course
This course is absolutely amazing. The views are spectacular. A true “must play” course.
Great course
Teed off at 6:20 and was finished in 4 hours and 4 minutes. Pace of play was outstanding and staff was very friendly. Course was in great shape for early June. Will definitely play here again.
Visually stunning, but overpriced
After being told by a few friends, “you’ve got to play Wolf Creek”. I finally made it out from Las Vegas. It was as visually stunning as they said. The elevation changes get old after awhile. Some quirky hole designs. Course was a little dried out. Greens were in excellent shape. Staff was very friendly and restaurant food was good. However, in my opinion, the green fees are $100 too much. There are other courses in Mesquite that are better layouts.
Reviews are scattered, played 5 years ago and it was in fantastic shape. Did you play the other courses around and were you disappointed also? Flying buddies in from the East coast and don't want them to go home disappointed.
