Worth the drive
First time playing but it won’t be the last...... thanks to all from the club house to the maintenance workers.
Well worth it
Great course awesome staff and great pricing. The course was in great shape. Thanks Falcon Ridge
Nice place expect a workout
Fun course some of the holes on the back have blind shots and play a little unfair. The place could use better signage and the cart paths are a little far from the greens. Wish they had steps to the tee boxes and the greens the terrain is severely steep at times and you come away feeling like you’ve been on a stair stepper after the round. The views are magnificent and the course was in good shape despite being punched. Need to play again now with a little knowledge of the layout. Overall fun course and a great value for the price.
Nice course
Falcon Ridge is a great course. Most of the fairways were in excellent condition and the greens were good. The course layout is fantastic, great views, challenging holes. If you go to Mesquite, this is a must play. BTW, great breakfast in the restaurant and all the staff are exceptionally nice.
Greens need some work
The fairways were beautiful and well manicured but the greens needed some water and some help as there were some brown spots in several greens.
Great course but not in the best shape right now
I really enjoyed this course but it’s in rough condition in spots. The rough is dry and hard as a rock. Greens are fast and were sanded when I played so they weren’t the best. The staff here is amazing and very helpful. I will for sure be playing here again in the near future
Target golf on steriods
Rode the Silvers (6211/69.7/135) in slightly more than 5H. Brutal POP, it seemed longer. Mid 60's, breezy and partly cloudy. Played with 3 nice guys, two of whom really struggled on this course.
Layout is target golf on steroids. Five different holes have directional markers in the fairway where from the tee you are hitting a blind shot over a hill. Several insanely elevated tees where you are hitting to a fairway or green 100-150' below. Numerous severe greens. I liked most of the holes. However, this applies more so than any course I have ever played. You would need to play here a few times before you know where to go on certain holes. Or what club to hit.
Playing conditions from tee to green were very good to excellent.
Tees lush and well maintained.
Fairways lush and usually nice to play from.
Rough was very lush close to the fairways and around the greens. Dormant Bermuda farther off fairways that was matted down.
Traps were nicely maintained with good quality sand.
Greens were a completely different story. Wondering if they had a recent frost that damaged their greens? At least 6 should have had many large areas marked as GUR, many thinly covered areas. Hard, fast and bumpy on tricked up greens in windy conditions is a terrible combination. I contributed four 3 putts, and I would guess our group probably had in excess of 20 three putts for the round?
Regardless of whether balls were coming out of the sand, rough, fairway or tee, you had to play for roll out. Last time I played on greens that hard was Alondra about 35 years ago. Balls landing on those greens sounded like drivers hitting a firm fairway that was going to produce 50 yards of roll. These were some of the worst greens I have putted on in a long time, and I travel around and play alot of different courses. For the price Falcon Ridge charged, I was shocked at the condition of the greens. EVERY 2' putt unless straight uphill was a candidate to three putt.
No driving range, warmup nets provided. Putting green was about like the greens on the course. Sloping and hard as a rock. Excellent customer service from everyone. It wasn't worth even half the fee they charged considering the condition of the greens. Could only recommend if you are getting a super deal, otherwise, go elsewhere. For most golfers, could not recommend this type layout period.
Great day., Beautiful course. Exceptional layout and we'll kept . Staff was excellent and friendly. Will be back and would recommend this course to anyone.
First time playing in Mesquite. Would play again.
Very attractive course. Must have cost a fortune to build.
Very playable, but there is trouble lurking. Greens were nice and rolled with a good speed. Be careful in your cart there are extreme pitches which could be dangerous.
Just a heads up.
Hidden gem
When you think Nevada golf you think Las Vegas. But if you are traveling through Mesquite, Falcon Ridge is definitely worth a stop. Great layout with many elevation changes. Holes 12 and 13 are two of the best in the state. You’ll want to play it again. Ask for the course book before you set out for your first time to help you on blind holes.
Falcon Ridge
Place is great, a rare treat of a golf course design that has function following form, heck of a challenge. Good conditions on turf, bit windy but no control or fertilizer for that. Marisa & Needie were running the shop counter, phones & mic’s like pros. Outside staff helpful & prompt!
One of the waitresses doesn’t deserve to pour hot lead at a rifle range but not allowing it to damper my day at Falcon Ridge.
Well done everyone!
pretty course
value for your money!!! beautiful layout, and greens are perfect, just the typical that people don't fix their divots. But is very nice!
