Diamondback Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

Enjoyable
Nice course to play..
The staff is very friendly
Course is in pretty good shape for February
Getting better
Our 1st time playing this course since last April
They are working away doing some course repairs..
Bunkers were improved and I thought greens were good shape for February
It was a busy day at the course,We were late getting started and we were waiting on every hole as was the group before us and the group before them.
I find this course offers a challenge..I like playing here..
Great value course. Green were hard to hold on but true.
Good day golfing
Nice layout. Wet fairways made it play long..greens were ok....golf staff were ok but bar staff was great. Solid layout and would play again
Refund policy
Course was good unfortunately one of our foursome woke up sick with covid like symptons and didn't play so for a threesome not a good value. Due to tbis not sure if I would use a prepay system that doesn't refund within 24 hours.
Enjoyable
Staff was super friendly (and I played through golf now) slow pace of play and greens a bit slower than I like but they were in great shape and rolled nice. Highly recommend and I will be back. Thanks for a great day diamondback. 😄👍
Poor example of customer service
25 minutes late start for tee time
Tees were backed up with
2 to 3 groups at every hole
Made the turn at 4:15
Requested a rain check for
The back nine
So we wouldn't be rushing to try and finish in the dark
But was denied
Because I booked on golfnow
While the guy playing with us was granted a rain check
The pro shop guy is a clown at best
And a poor representative of of any
Logical reasoning
hot tip
good friendly staff course a little wet but still good for the money
Director of golf hates golfnow users!
Director of golf decided to have a shotgun very early for members only. Got there and the starter informed us that we would be toff-ing on time, 10:30. Regret tiping him as he was more interested listening to a radio finance talk show. At 10:30 starter disappeared so we moved to the 1st tee. On the tee we heard the director very rudly screaming at a young girl starter, to come and get us... I went inside and went to understand what was going on. The man (guessing golf director-no identification), explained that there had been a frost delay. We had to wait, even if there was open holes. Made no sense, had an argument wich ended in telling us that we were golfnow users and he would never let us play with his members! This club should not use golfnow, DO NOT encourage them. Finally when we did tee off, we followed 4 members for a agonizing 4 hours and a half. Nobody in front of them, never even offered to let us go trough. Worst golf experience in a long time... never going back !
I blame the weather
Cart path only and the greens were fuzzy, slow.
After some considerable rain, the staff was unable to get the mowers out. They were just starting to get out during our round.
This is a great track, with a lot of challenges. Course management is a must. This is my "Go to" for a GN round.
A great value.
