After a round on the Duke at Rancho El Dorado, head to Silver Spur Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner on the patio, which offers vistas of the Estrella Mountains as well as that 18th hole you just wrapped up on.

We had a group of 5 player in front of us , I asked the starter why a group of 5 was aloud to play, he told me to push them and play through. That not the way we like to play. So we waited on almost every hole, as well as the groups behind us waited for us.

The course and the range were definitely a plus to the round. Only issue was pace of play with the group ahead slowing the rest of us down in the front 9. By the back 9 we passed them up as they took to the bar and grill. We kept pace with the other group and never had the issues again. The duke is well worth a drive and the cost was reasonable.

Course needs some tender loving care. Fairways are spotty. Greens are bumpy and don't run true. Bunkers could use some sand. Pro shop could stand to have some lessons in customer service. The bar/dining help are commendable.

Good price on golf now, easy to find, easy check in, carts have washers, ice for you and water buckets for towels, tees good , fairways good but most of front nine greens have problems and don't putt well, they need help now, therefore I would go elsewhere, as with all AZ course bunkers they need real sand

We live in Maricopa and the Duke is our 'home' course. Sometimes this course is in decent shape, other times, it is not. We played here in late April and this is one of those times that it was not in very good shape. The course is of moderate difficulty and resembles a resort style course with generous fairways. Greens were not overly fast, but they were bumpy and several of them appeared burnt. The fairways were tightly cut, but quite firm. Pull carts are not available for rent. Staff are friendly. Drinking water is available on a number of holes on the course and the beverage cart is frequently seen. However, better courses are available at similar or lower rack rates.

The grass seems to getting mowed very short. Great for a long drive, but doesn't have enough grass when using wedges to get under a ball. Greens being in poor shape from also being mowed short, don't alow to "stick" a ball. Dry and very fast. You have to land your ball in front to keep from blowing off the back.

Started out on a beautiful sunny morning - coyote walked across the first fairway - and he had a ways to go...the fairways on the front nine are wide open - thought we were in for a bit of a boring round, however the back nine tightens up and gets interesting. The final 3 holes are extremely well designed and an outstanding way to finish...challenge and risk/reward.

Decent course..grass on greens and fairways very tight and thin.

Maybe I don't get out and see enough courses in the area, but this course is considerably better than anything in the Casa Grande area that I have played. This is a must play golf course that is challenging from whatever Tee Box you play from. I can't wait to get back and try to play this course again and again.
