About
The Duke at Rancho El Dorado is a championship, 18-hole golf facility designed by David Druzinsky. This desert links style course offer generous fairways and a scenic view of the natural desert sage and brush surrounding. The difficulty lies in the slope of putting green so golfers beware.
The Duke at Rancho El Dorado is a par-72 golf course that measures 7,011 yards from the back tees.
After a round on the Duke at Rancho El Dorado, head to Silver Spur Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner on the patio, which offers vistas of the Estrella Mountains as well as that 18th hole you just wrapped up on.

Beautiful Course
Despite the hour frost delay at 28*, me an my buddies had a great time. Course was in great shape, pace was just over 4 hours and the beers were cold. Bartender was a little snobbish but had a great time overall. Will def be back soon.
Pace Too Slow - never saw a marshall
Only finished 15 holes due to darkness. Don’t fault the course for the hour frost delay, but we had 4 groups on both front side par 3’s and that should never happen.
Great Potential
A pro challenge from the tips. Large Greens are ridiculously fast with tough pin placements. Needs a little bridgework to accommodate the overflowing stream on the big par 5.. Sand traps are sugary soft ( is this really Arizona?) Friendly staff. Getting into Maricopa with its traffic is the downside. Allow extra time to avoid the panic of a missed time. 🤣
Great Playable Course
The course was in good condition. Greens ran at just the right speed. The speed of play was good. Only one issue. If you book not through the course website, (i.e. Booking through Golf Now or some other 3rd party) be sure to double check that your tee time has actually been made at the course. My booked prepaid tee time was not on their books when I went to check in.
Great challenging course.
Course in Great shape. Greens are challenging. Friendly staff.
Enjoyed our Round
Course isn't hard, but there are challenges with sand traps. Conditions of the fairways and greens were good. Course needs some work. Overall, the pace of play was good and we had a good time in beautiful weather.
Pretty good shape
Easy to find easy check in. Tends to be costly. Water buckets for towels. Pretty good carts with sand bottles and ice in chests. Water on course for us. Tees pretty good shape. Fairways nice roughs at least have some grass. Bunkers are playable. Greens with few straight putts and fairly fast. We played in 4 1/2 hrs but because on Thursday there is a men’s league that was not very fast that plays in the morning. Will try to go back but not on Thursday and only when cost is down
Nice
We have played The Duke a couple times a year for several years now. We have found the conditions to be good most times. As long as we can get tee times for $75 or less, we will continue to enjoy this course. The biggest problem is that it always seems to stack up on holes 15-16-17.
