Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club
About
Silverado Golf Course welcomes all skill levels of golfer, but more advanced players will find the course pleasant but perhaps not as challenging as they would like. Located next to a bike trail that runs through much of Scottsdale, the course provides excellent views. While playing, golfers can enjoy vistas of the surrounding desert landscape as well as the Camelback and Mummy Mountains. A notable hole is the par-3 18th hole, not only for the gorgeous backdrop provided by the mountains but also its difficulty level. From its elevated tee, golfers get a good visual of the hole including the water and strategically placed bunkers that surround it.

Excellent condition
Best kept secret. Excellent layout , excellent course condition, very friendly staff, pace of play was good , will definitely be back
Avoid! Cement fairways and bunkers
Was in town for a few days and decided to play one extra round of golf. We settled on Silverado based on proximity, reviews, and availability for our specific tee time. There were plenty of times available even a day or 2 before but it was a mistake. It was about $150 a round for some of the worst conditions. The folks on the course are nice but I would not play here ever again. First, they do maintainence during the day while you’re playing. Want to tee off or hit a shot from the fairway? Wait for the grounds team to move their machines and carts. This was the case for the front 9 the day I went which was unbelievable. The fairways and course condition was just as tragic. The fairways are cement so if you usually take divots, you likely will need a cast on your wrist or elbow after your round. Sand traps were terrible. Hard sand and not enough sand. My leading wrist was in extreme pain after 5 holes. Don’t be fooled by the aesthetics of how they directionally mow their fairways.
Some of the holes are behind each other so for some holes you’d have to drive the cart a few minutes just to get to the next hole. The layout was weird and there are public trails that run through the course so be careful of random bikers or people on skates cruising by.
Skip this course and play somewhere else
Poor quality for the price
Very dissatisfied with what we received for the money. The greens were punched recently with no warning from staff about this when we booked or when we checked in. There is no driving range and that was not conveyed very well at arrival or booking time. Rest of course conditions were not really what was to be expected paying the $150 for the round. Carts were very basic with no onscreen displays for yardages. Overall sub par experience and would not recommend for anyone looking for a good golf experience in the Scottsdale area.
Expensive for age Experience
For no driving range and a 5-hour round, this course was expensive. I played at McCormick Ranch two days before for $50 less and that included range balls. We played in a little over 4 hours. Much better experience! Even the Kierlands was cheaper and that is a resort course.
Cool course, awesome staff, terrible pace
We started 15 minutes late due to the course being backed up, and it took 5 hours to knockout our round. The conditions were nice, and the staff were very pleasant to chat with. The only reason I didn’t say that I wouldn’t recommend is that i hope this was a one off experience. It was worth trying once, but i likely won’t return.. If the pace was improved or the price was significantly reduced I might change my opinion.
6-Hour Round!!!!
My friends and I were on a golf trip to Scottsdale and this was one of many courses we played and this one was by far the worst experience of all the courses we played. It took us 6 hours to finish our round because they allowed a group of 6 people and then 2 groups of 5 people ahead of us. We were never told at the start that this was going to be happening by the starter in fact he rushed my friends and I to start 10 mins earlier then what we booked. If you’re a local this may work but if you’re on a golf trip I would avoid this course. It ruined our plans which we had planned ahead like reservations and people we had planned on meeting.
Silverado is a Gem
I played Silverado yesterday w my two adult sons and all 3 of us commented how much we liked the course, especially the back 9. No driving range for warm up, but that's the only negative I can think of. It's a Great value for golf in Scottsdale.
Meh. Nothing redeeming.
The course didn’t have any redeeming qualities. It was $120 round. Gas carts. No GPS. Scorecard doesn’t provide hole layout. Handful of holes run along side of highway. Meh views. Pretty dry. Felt like a muni. I’d play there for $50-70. Wouldn’t go back at $120.
Great track for the $
Enjoy course, only issue I have is pace of play. No ranger pushing the pace. I could use some better sign direction between holes.
MN GOLFERS
Excellent course, a little pricey but worth it. Pace of play is okay. Course is a bit under water when it rains but they clean the drains and it’s all good.
Nice local course
Course was in good condition
A little pricey for a municipal like course but less $ than most places of this caliber
Good place to golf
Really enjoyed this golf course.
Could use a driving range
