Worth $50 for 4 hours??? Photo submitted by u243524379 on 12/05/2017
#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

A great course has gone bad
I’ll start by saying I played this course in the rain for all 18 holes and the course was waterlogged, and that is not factoring at all in my review.
This used to be a gem of a course that I loved to play. The layout was always so interesting because they had several less than driver holes and it tested a lot of parts of your game.
I don’t recognize the course anymore. Tee boxes are barren, no grass. The fairways are patchy at best. The greens are actually surprisingly good considering the condition of the rest of the course, which was surprising and nice.
This is the 2nd time I’ve ever written a review, and I just have to say ... if I was looking for a round of golf in the Orlando area, I would steer way clear of North Shore. That pains me to say because it is a course that historically I’ve really enjoyed playing. They’ve lost its charm.
Not Worth the Money this time of Year
Same owner as Harmony Golf Preserve. They use the same playbook on this course as Harmony. Keep the greens in good shape, let the rest of the course go downhill during off season. Charge a premium price for the product offered. The fairways/rough are white/burnt in many places. The tee boxes are pretty rough. The back nine has a bunch of places where it doesn't drain well, so you end up with some really bad lies in muck or rough that can't be cut because it's too wet. The small bucket for $7.00 with tax before the round is a nice gouge.
Cut The rough
Her's the the straight to it review of the course On the positive, Greens are in good shape. The issue i have is that the rough should be cut lower. If you hit a ball into the rough at any point at the course it disappears. This isn't the US Open. so tell the greens superintendent to get a life and lower th mower blades and increase the frequency of cuts. . I hit some shots headed right to the middle of the fairway only to find my ball dissappeared. . The fairway and rough are what is lacking at this course. The greens fees are not worth the $60 rate. One can play at OCN or any other nearby clubs and get the real deal. It's obvious by the lack of play that this is not a popular golf destination. I would not doubt if I see a subdivision here in the near future.
Nice layout and for the most part good conditions. A few bare spots around some of the greens and some weeds (as with most courses at this time of year).
Staff was friendly but appeared to be a little short handed on the morning that we played.
The course is usually in exceptional shape; but today, it was wet/muddy. The course is really nice on a dry day. It looks like they over-watered it.
Lost three balls that were within 30 feet of the green, because the grass was so high. Looked like it hadn’t been mowed in two weeks!
I have played there many times and the course is always in good condition.
I just hope the owner doesn’t cut back on maintenance.
Course was rough
Roughs were really thick right off the fairways. Couple fairways were rough. Greens were rolling slower than usual. The course is usually in good shape but not the case today.
Wait Until Covid Dies Down to Play
Was told by the pro shop staff that players need to pair up with each other in the same cart despite the course not being busy. This message did not seem to align itself with the plexiglass wall standing in between myself and the staff member (wearing a mask) that had a note on it stating that social distancing was required at the course at all times. $21 dollars later I had my own cart. After the front nine I went back into the pro shop and asked if I could get a cup of water and was told no, but I could buy a drink or fill up my water bottle in the bathroom sink! I have played here before and the bar tender has given me water. Course conditions didn’t match the $50 tee time either. Due to all of the above I won’t be playing here again for quite a while, if ever. There are too many courses in the area that provide a better value.
No Longer Allowed
So I have reviewed North Shore a few times. Lately the reviews have been terrible. I have played here many times and have never seen the course as bad as it has become. The head pro has no business running an enterprise built on customer service and dealing with the public. So because of the reviews that have been written by myself and other players, we were told go away. And we have. We have found numerous other courses who are happy to have us and genuinely understand as a golfer our money is appreciated. Lastly the course has now even run off the mens group that has played here for the last 10 yrs. Great job Pro.
Someone needs to let owners know the "Golf Pro" that can't break 80 is scaring off clients. Amazing how this guy treats people. It's almost like he wants people to go somewhere else.
This once nice course is gone to pot. Fairways and sand traps need lots of work, along with the tee boxes. Greens were above average but is sad they let’s this course go; don’t waste your money!
What a turn Around
I have played this course many times and the greens are always fantastic. In the early part of summer the course was in rough shape but after seeing it today they have really turned it around. It was a joy to play.
Challenging course for a mid handicapper
This is always a fun course to play, I have played it several times and always look forward to the round. The layout is good and the course is kept in good shape. The greens are really good the only issue is that some players are not good about fixing their ball marks on the greens. That is not the greens keepers fault rather the fault of lazy players. All said its a very solid course and and good value for the money.
