Diamond in the rough
I played the scramble today and was placed on a team according to my skill level. We had a great time. The course was challenging and tempted us for par on many holes.
No sand traps but with small greens they are not needed .
The staff was friendly and helpful.
The cost was a surprise-- very low for this area.
All in all --- Fun time on the course, low cost and friendly staff.
What else can one ask for?
My brother runs this course and I worked there for 8 years. The course is forgiving for the long ball hitters, but can be challenging for others. The layout offers some challenging obstacles, but it's not too difficult to score on. The greens have always been the main source of complaints, but for the casual player they aren't bad and are mostly flat. During seasonal re-seeding around June and November there are a few weeks where they're long and tough to putt because the grass roots need to mature before they can be cut. Overall, the course is a great value and fun to play.
Preferred
I am a snow bird since I am only here for the winter months.
I found this course one of the better ones in the Brooksville area.
The cost is manageable for playing several times a week, and the course layout is challenging!
Most important I found that the group that operates the course to be very professional, coupled with making me feel "at home" each time I visit!
Great Layout
I have been playing this course for 7 years, and it has improved each year. They over seed in the fall and play on the greens is rough, however by late November the green's are in good shape. The overall layout is great wether you are a beginner or a single digit handicapper. By January the course is in good shape and a challenge for most players.
Course would be better even greens were taken care of.
The course is pretty neat to play. They have some different looking holes. The course would be alot better if they took care of they greens. Most of there greens are like putting on fairways. If you just want some practice its a fun course but if you need to work on your putting it will not happen here
