About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. First time playing here. Booked on GolfNow and didn't know they had a league tournament playing that day. Regardless, what told what hole to tee off on and ended up having a great time. Course was in very good condition and challenging. The course was a little further than I normally would have driven to play, but I'm glad I did.
Much Improved
Read recent reviews of course on Golf Now & decided to give it another chance. Had last played in Summer of 2023. Course was in horrible shape at that time.
The course has shown dramatic improvement. The greens were very good. The tee boxes were good. Fairways were in fair shape. Still some work to be done there. Bunkers need some more sand, but are playable, All in all it was an enjoyable round and we will be back
Nice course
Enjoyed the 9 holes we were able to get in of the 18 we paid for. Pace of play was slow. Was disappointed to find no map of each hole on the scorecard....especially since there were no pictures of the layout of each hole on the tee box. Greens were beautiful.... some of fairways needed a bit of TLC. Would definitely try it again if back in the area:)
Keeps getting better
This course is in really good condition. The greens are beautiful and the tee boxes are good. Some fairways are rough but all in all the conditions keep improving. If you have not played here in a month or more, you should give it another try.

Just a note that on a lot of the holes the tee box markers don’t line up with the fairway.
Get'n there.
Course is improving. Better than a year ago but not like was 5 years ago. Greens are pretty good. Sand in the bunkers a little compacted but playable. Every hole has bad spots, the place isn't perfect. But it's ok..
Its better Than Last Year
Dairways are still a mess. Greens are very pretty but very slow. Tee boxes are way better than last year. The greens really gave us a fit !!!! Caught an early afternoon special for $32 so I cant complain too much. Still a work in progress.
Lots of GRASS
Course is growing in nicely. Tee boxes and greens were excellent. Fairways coming along. Greens were thick, lush and slow. Pace of play was quite slow...4hr 35 min. Some very challenging pin placements.
