review
Sherman Hills is always in fine condition.....large smooth greens with wide manicured fairways.....not too much water or sand hazards to contend with.....well worth the hour drive from the Port Richey area.
Nice course.
The course is in good shape but the pace of play could be better. I would recommend a starter. Weekends are extremely busy in the current season. I like the course and will play many more times. The guy in the pro shop is very accommodating and entertaining.
Needs so.e TLC
Most of greens had quite a few bare spots.. Had to wait for cart and waited on one tee box for four groups. No ranger around.
FIVE BAD GREENS
Great Track, but the las five greens have some kind of Fungal> Or something else bad.
Real danger of three putting those last greens.
Our Sherman Hills Play
Great layout and only a couple of greens on the back nine were really bad to putt on.
The course was in great shape
The course was in great shape and the greens were very fast. The greens did roll very true but the speed was a little tricky for the first couple of holes.
Great challenge course
Golf course was in good shape. Couple of greens on back 9 kinda rough but looks like they are trying to fix them. All around great challenge course
Unusual Florida Day
Although we’re almost at the end of February, our round started out a little chilly with a threat of rain. It didn’t rain, but the wind picked up and at times there were gusts that would drastically change the trajectory of a golf shot. I love Sherman Hills course. It’s beautifully designed with rolling hills and wide fairways. On this day, the greens were not in good shape, especially on the back nine, and on one of them, a couple of us commented that it was like putting on concrete. Otherwise, it was a glorious day out, and despite the greens and wind, we had a great time.
Green Crowned
The greens were almost all crowned and fast. Better stay below the flag to have a chance at par otherwise you may roll of the green. They were the most difficult part of the course. Many had bare spots from disease?
Greens
The back nine greens were horrible they need to seed the greens
Sherman Hills
Course has a nice layout and is reasonably priced. However, the greens need a LOT of TLC. They are nearly bald, extremely fast and, for that condition, pins set in very awkward positions.
Tale of two nines
We liked the course with the exception of three or four greens on the back nine that are total junk.
Don't play until they get the greens fixed.
Greens were dead. It was like putting on a marble floor. Fairways weren't bad and tea boxes were just okay. I don't plan on playing there for a long time.
Good and Bad
Front 9 is in great shape. Back 9 is rough in spots. 3 of the greens are in bad shape dead spots, bare spots, little grass. good finishing hole.
