Chimera Golf Club

Wonderful staff. Could improve on the driving range so you can hit off the grass. Putting green rather small but nice. Overall condition of the course is phenomenal. If they could cut the tea boxes a bit shorter and speed up the greens would be the best course in Las Vegas for the money. I will definitely go back.

This is a fun resort style course in great condition. The fairways are surrounded by homes and while the landing spots are generous, the homes can come into play if you're wild off the tee and/or the ever-present Vegas wind gets a hold of your ball. So if you're a newbie who doesn't feel like paying for a broken window this may not be the course for you. But if you can keep your drive somewhat in play and want a fun layout in great condition that is very scoreable (the greens, while in good condition, are mostly benign) this is one of the better option in Vegas. Knocking off a point due to the high prices for visitors if you don't catch it on a hot deal and the shared carts if you're a single.

Very nice course. Green not that fast on morning but in great shape. Fairways and rough good. The holes sometimes are located very far between holes, so I believe is not a walkeable course. Nice views.

I have played several courses in Vegas, but I kid you not I love Chimera. Love the layout, condition, greens and the serenity of it.

Last played this course 5 years ago when in Henderson. Course is in great condition, staff friendly and helpful, very enjoyable. Looking forward to repeating the experience soon. Restaurant has good food, well worth a visit.

Stop at Chimera every year in April and never disappoints. Always in great condition. Plays fair but challenging.

Usually play Chimera on Vegas trips if we can get a hotdeal. They really over charge non residents (like most Vegas courses) so book a hot deal early as this place is very popular. The course was in very good shape, fairways and greens were very nice, some sand traps were very hard and need softening but most were playable. Pace of play was ok it was about a 4 hour 15 minute round. It stacked up on the 15th hole and slowed down quite a bit until the end. I got a warning on the cart GPS that we were 10 minutes behind desired pace of play which was funny on a par 4 with a group of 4 on the green, a group of 4 in the fairway, a group of 4 on the teebox in front of us and then us. We would have loved to play faster. Besides the slow down all was good. The beverage cart came around a few times and the cart lady was very friendly and prices were reasonable. The staff from check in, cart bag drop and starter were all friendly. We didn't eat at the bar and grill so no comment about that.
Except for the slowdown at the end it was a good day of golf. Chimera is a very nice course and if you play from the appropriate tees not too challenging. Happy to recommend this course for others to play.

Annual stop at this very well kept course. Great layout is always in great condition. Top 5 on our list of Vegas courses.

Super friendly staff and a nice course, can't ask for much more! It would have been nice to have less wind, I guess I could ask for that. Worth the money!

Overall a nice course to play, especially for the rates we got in the afternoon through GolfNow. Range balls were not in great condition, but served the purpose to get a few swings in before playing. Course was in great shape with a fun, challenging layout. Houses along the course can be too close in my opinion, especially with the wind we played in that day. Players that have a hard time keeping it in the middle with the wind will feel challenged most of the day. Pace of play was average to other public courses and the food at the 19th was solid. Would recommend to anyone looking to play in the Lake Las Vegas area.

Most of the fairways are nice & wide. Only 3 or 4 holes where water comes into play. Some of the fairway grass was a little barren but it's better than what I recall from the last time I played here 3 or 4 years ago. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The driving range was mats only.

This is my third time golfing here and I truly enjoy it. The staff are kind, friendly, helpful and just great overall. The food is amazing and it’s a really beautiful course. There are literally views of the strip from the course. It’s not pretentious, just enjoyable. I highly recommend it. Great vibe overall.

Played on a late time on a weekday and conditions were good but a bit breezy. Pace was very good but greens were really grainy and slow. otherwise course was in good condition. i sure hope they do something about hole #3 soon

Fun course. In great shape. Not the longest, but fun none the less. Staff was super friendly. We were an early tee time and paired with a couple of members. On the third hole they said, "you know what's going on here, right? There is a shotgun start, and we'll catch them around the 8th hole, we just drop off at that point. You'll have a slow round." From the seventh on it was slow..... We had nothing else to do that day, but we figured teeing off at 7am might avoid some slow play. Otherwise a nice place.
