Cypress Point Country Club
About
Cypress Point Country Club is conveniently located within minutes of the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Town Center. Despite its accessibility, the golf course feels peacefully isolated, making it a great choice for golfers who are looking for the convenience of a city course with the pace and beauty of the countryside. It's a layout that is as challenging as it is scenic with strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and fairways. The occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course will challenge players of all skill levels but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. Beginners will still be able to enjoy a round at Cypress Point Country Club. Besides the course, the club is also popular for its practice facility, which has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Another Fun Round
Pace seemed slow but who can complain when you finish in four hours. Fringe around the greens in pretty tough shape but the green are good. Just a fun course.
Loved it
The course is in good shape and pretty open. Overall it was a great course and one of the best bang for the buck I have ever paid.
Fairways and greens
While I played god awful, the course was in great shape and made for a fun round.
Not Impressed
I hadn’t played this course in nearly a year. Now I know why. The course layout is good but the course conditions was below Par. Fairways were terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this course at this time.
Enjoyable Course
Course was still a little wet from previous evening rain but played well. Greens are in good shape. Areas around the green are still in Spring shape. Justa fun course!
Overpriced for the quality of the course
Not worth 50 dollars for a tee time. Honeybee and Chesapeake are the same quality of course, for a better price.
OK @ Cypress Point
The course layout is great. I got the tee time thru Golf Now as a single. I do not like playing alone much so was paired with a couple very friendly sailors in the Navy.
Few issues:
Pace of play was slow. We did the first nine, as a three, in 1 hr. 50 mins. Caught up to some sort of league or tournament on hole 9 and played the back nine in 2 hrs. 40 mins. I have never seen a Marshall on this course. The only foursome between us and the league quit after hole 14 due to pace of game lay. I played last Thursday and it wasn’t any better. Cypress needs to Marshall the course and stick to legitimate time per hole and give warnings and then have groups start skipping holes if slow play continues.
A couple of the par 3’s tee boxes are in rough shape. Namely, 17 but there are others.
Last, there are a lot of weeds in the fairway. I rarely see a golf course fairway this weedy. Maintenance needs some help controlling the weeds.
I love Cypress Point. Great layout and staff. Just need some course maintenance work and the ever dreaded pace of play.
Not worth the money
Cypress Point is charging 50 bucks for weekday play. Not worth that price. My opinion there losing the fairways. Fairways are getting bare. Course is just looking terrible.
Greens, greens, staff huff and puff when making a tee time
Called for a tee time, I heard huffing and puffing like 5 different times like they were over worked or to stressed to look at the card? Decent challenge for layout but it’s not long, the greens are pretty rough, shaggy, aeration holes, sandy, on every green. Probably should reduce the price because of this condition issue. Pace of play wasn’t that bad, I had a minor wait on a few holes but there was 1 foursome that locked the entire course down and without a marshal to kick them out or push them it was a wrap.
Challenging course
Review layout before playing to help you place your drives.
Besides being windy. The course is excellent
