Punched greens, otherwise good
The greens had been punched recently so it was sandy and uneven. I will, however, say that given the conditions, it was still very playable. Should be back to great shape in no time. Fairways, tee boxes, and hazards were excellent.

8/24/22 Still Aerating
Fairways and most tee boxes are in excellent shape. Sadly, the greens are punched and extremely sandy with no posted alerts at the course or on GN. Playable, but may want to wait for the greens to clear up.

Course is in Great Shape
For all the bad reviews over the last year; the conditions at Bears Best are now some of the best. Fairways are lush and well groomed, greens are in amazing shape and rolling near perfect; the only complaint is the bunkers need work (seems like most courses do these days). I had been waiting to play until conditions improved and I would say the wait is over go play now!!!
Pace of play was really good for a Saturday and marshals were friendly and kept people moving. Staff was also easy to deal with and friendly.
Would highly recommend playing if you haven’t been back in a while

Great All Around Course
Enjoyed my round here. Solid practice facilities and great course layout. Greens were in decent shape and fairways and tee boxes were well kept which is a sign for a well run course. Little steep on the midweek afternoon price (think I paid around ($70) and pace of play was pretty slow but other than that, had a great time. Would recommend to a friend. Overall: 8.6/10

It’s hard to complain much on this course
Other then the price
For the price their are a few clubs if rather play
None the less still a nice clean upscale golf club
Don’t expect a quick round considering they stay booked at full copacity at all times
Still course flows efficiently considering how busy they are

Amazing Experience
The guy at the pro shop wasn’t friendly and short with me. The bar man was ok. Although what brought me here was golf and yes I did enjoy playing on this beautiful course. Well maintained courses and fast greens. I love the difficulty of the bankers and water surrounding a lot of the greens. I will be back to play this course. The pace of play was great even for a 4some (3hrs for 18 holes)

great condition
course is in the best shape of any course I've played this year so far. Greens where in nice shape and rolled consistently. Took just over 4 hours to play and had to hardly wait till we hit the last few holes. Will defiantly be back soon.

Love this Course
Bear's Best is one of my favorites. Love playing the Course when I can find a good deal in terms of price. Can get expensive at times.

Course condition was disappointing
Replica holes are fun, course condition is disappointing. Bunkers on several holes are not playable or barely so, some green surrounds have no grass in spots, greens have a lot of unrepaired ball marks. Played at 4:03 and paid $67, would have been mad if I had played earlier in the day and had paid >$100. Rumors that course is going private may be true and impacting decisions on course maintenance.
