Enjoyed it
Got a reservation on GolfNow. Did not mind paying extra $9 at check in for the resource recovery fee. The course was in an excellent shape. I enjoy playing here because I get to use all my clubs. Shot accuracy rewards you. I love 8th and 9th. They are tucked into the wooded hills with a stream still running. I saw a herd of deers grazing in the hill. The air feels absolutely clean and refreshing.
Course good, extra fee BAD
The course and pace of play were excellent. The extra fee of $9 you had to pay for fertilizer was a bummer. It is not about the money (I understand prices have risen) but adds an unnecessary unexpected surprise to one's visit. Why not make it simple and raise the golf rate so one knows that once you have paid you have paid and no need to pay again...??? I asked and there is no extra fee for using electricity and water even if that is more expensive as well, as of yet anyway....
Hello, enejder. Thank you for visiting us at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.

Very tough back 9
Beautiful but very difficult course.
FRONT NINE: was interesting, a lot of challengers. Course and greens were in good shape. The rough was tough, as the grass, for the most part, was kept at around 5 inches. For us, that meant a lot of time looking for the ball if it went off the fairway.
BACK NINE: was very difficult. Almost no flat lies, always on a slope....and the slope could be in any direction to the hole. A lot of steep slopes. Played with a young scratch golfer. He was not feeling well, so quit at the turn. In parting he said he didn't think he was missing much because the back nine is so difficult...even for him.
In conclusion, this course is good for 15 or under handicappers. Otherwise it can be very frustrating.
Hello, u160159180. Thanks so much for your review. We're so glad you enjoyed your round at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. That's what we like to hear! We hope to see you again soon!
Tough Tough course
The front nine was challenging, but the back nine was almost impossible. Narrow fairways, extremely sloped hills that you had to play as a sidehill, bunkers with long grass on the uphill outside. A lot of water ways..
Greens are in good shape. Bunkers had good quality sand.
A true challenge for the best of golfers. Do not recommend for average golfers.
Thanks so much for the great review, u160159180. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing Eagle Ridge Golf Club.
Springtime Golf is back!
A perfect day to be on the course anywhere in the Bay Area, but I especially enjoyed being close to home. The course is recovering well as we've had an unprecedented amount of rain. The maintenance staff is doing a great job dealing with all the issues. They've got the greens rolling sweet!
Thank you for your review, kendo19. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
This is not right!
Booked a fouirsome on Golfnow and paid on-line.
Got to the course and they wanted an extra $9 per player for some ridiculous fee they said they are charging since their fertilizer cost went up 300%.
I told them my PG&E bill doubled so they should give me a credit on the green fees.
This fee is on their website but I did not use their website to book so to charge an additional fee once you get to the course is bad business.
Thanks so much for the great review, skiphouston. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing Eagle Ridge Golf Club.
Exorbitant fees
Not only do they charge excessive green fees, when you check in they've added another $9 for "fertilizer, maintenance, etc!!!" Every golf course has to pay for that and others, etc?? I doubt if I play there again!!
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us, davekelso. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Eagle Ridge Golf Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Perfect rounding with challenging greens and fairways
The condition was great but they charged a green improvement fee of $9 per player which was a little bit frustrating. The greens were quick and the fairways were great. The sand of a bunker was soft enough to escape from it.
Thank you for your review, u220134309. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Resource Recovery Fee
I've booked many rounds at Eagle Ridge online and never had an issue till yesterday. The pro shop wanted an extra $9 for a recovery fee in order to "keep green fees low"!!!!!!!!???? The pro said it was spelled out on my online reservation. Going back, I did miss the fine print, but I find this deceptive. The GolfPass rep said Eagle Ridge is the ONLY golf course that charges this fee to his knowledge. .

The course condition was awful on 3/25/2023
The course charges $9 per person for resource recovery fee. However, the fairway condition was awful! The drain system didn’t work well and the course was muddy everywhere. The grass on the fairway is too long and it’s very hard to find balls even on the fairway. I don’t know where did the course spend the $9 per player extra charge but it doesn’t look like they spent it in the right place.

Eagle Ridge--
PLEASE NOTE THAT THEY HAVE AN EXTRA FEE OF $9.00 (recovery fee) PER PLAYER that you pay upon checkin--RIDICULOUS.

cold and damp but not muddy
We have played here many times.Like the course and good service. Usually good pace. People that play here seem to know the etiquette of golf well. Bathrooms are clean. Recommend this course.

Unexpected course recovery fee
Upon checking in we were hit with an unusual, unexpected, and unappreciated (never encountered at any other course in 40 years of playing golf all over the world) "course recovery fee." Just another hidden junk fee like so many these days. Otherwise it's a terrific course, albeit quite a challenge with bunkers galore and very undulating greens.. I would have rated it 5 stars if not for the course recovery fee. They should just increase the upfront price if they must.

Bad service on GolfNow
I could not play. My son became sick the night before. I asked for a cancellation so I could get my money back and make a new reservation for later in the week and was denied. Will be calling and booking through the pro shops for now on. They will at least credit for later in the week!!!
So you gave a 1-star in your review? You're suppose to rate your review by your experience at the course.

Their really trying
First of all you can’t judge with the recent storms over the last several weeks. Every golf course sustained damages. So the golf course considering the weather was in fair condition. Many areas wiped out from rain.
The pro sho staff was great and the course was wide open do to the rain.
The Golf situation was good. The club house if you will, was not open and having lunch was not an option. Seems that there is yet another transition going on at this facility. A lot of inconsistencies. They are trying to present this facility as a “country club” environment however, you get that a private clubs and we know this.
Example of this complaint; I was in the MENS locker room/ restroom using a urinal and in walks in unannounced a female showing a couple( husband & wife) the locker room!!!! She was trying to sell them on the concept of this PUBLIC golf course is semi private…it’s public and never mind me using the restroom. She didn’t had the decency to excuse herself at all and walked through like she was touring a home. Something’s you just don’t do! This is one of those. I don’t understand the whole public course trying to sell themselves as semi private. Either you private OR you’re not! I most likely will not return until the course is in better shape..hopefully that consistency will maintenance the path they are on.
