Great Links Course for CO
Tough track for first timers. Had a great day and was lucky to be paired up with repeat players.
Great day
Arrived 15 minutes early, got a cart. Paired with a third, and off we went. Course was well maintained, busy, and staff was awesome.
Terrible staff
Staff was unfriendly and quite rude. They believe this course is almost a TPC level and it really just isn’t. I love the layout and it’s a cool course for a muni, but it isn’t worth any more than $30 total. Watch out, because they’ll book you for walking and then make you pay another $30 for a cart. This course is not walkable and it’s not even remotely close to worth $57+
Terrible customer service
I’ve played here 4-5 times and the pro there has given myself and my friends terrible service every time. They used to help us out and give us carts for discounts and such, but now they want us to pay an extra $30 for a cart, and this course is not even close to worth $60. $27 with a cart, sure. But they have a little inflated sense of how good their course is.
Fun layout and in good shape
Short, but surprisingly challenging layout. Greens were in near perfect condition, but a bit soft. Lots of blind shots will create frustration for high handicappers or first time players. Very windy conditions the day we played amplified this. Overall, a fun layout, with interesting hazard placement, and excellent greens made this an enjoyable experience for our single digit handicap group.
Great course for the price on Golf Now
Fairways and greens were in great condition. Liked playing here and can’t beat that price $38 on Golfnow Hot deal with a cart.
Not for unskilled
Nice layout. Great condition. 4 hour 45 minutes. Beware if you’re a 15 or more. You’ll lose a ton of balls and not enjoy it. Premium on hitting it straight.
Bring more balls
Have been playing here much of the summer. Don't be fooled by the short yardage, if you miss off the tee you are probably in trouble. Rewards for accurate shots. The good news: Fairways and most greens are in excellent condition, a pleasure to play. 3"+ first cut rough, massive tall weeds beyond can cause a frustrating round if you or someone in your group are not hitting every fairway. Staff is excellent, value for the $$ very good. Greens can be diabolical when they harden up which they were yesterday. Needs work: Many tee boxes are crowned, hilly, and mostly sand, Cart paths are a mess, suitable to ATV travel, sand traps mostly concrete. Driving range has minimal grass. mostly sand. Suitable for hitting off of tees but not much else. Challenging holes, great staff, fairways and most greens. Will be back many times, would like to see a bit more attention to course maintenance details.
Excellent golf course
Staff is friendly and course layout and conditions are great!
Very pleased at the conditions
This course has had issues with conditions in the past, and I was very please to see it very green, even in the non playing areas...keep it up!!!

Review of Kings Deer Golf Club
Reviewed 4 days ago
Where do I start? Staff member quoted a price on a club and then would not honor it. Contacted the GM who assured me that he would call me back. It's been two months and no return call. One of my many friends that I have taken to KD bought a hat which he decided a few days later that he wanted another color. The hat was still in the original package, never worn and all he wanted was to exchange it. He was told no and that he would have to contact the GM. GOOD LUCK ! I've spent ALOT of money there and recently played in a scramble event. Once arrived I checked in and walked into the lounge and grabbed a cup and started pouring some water that was set up on the counter, when a young lady asked me if I was part of the morning event, I explained that I was not but was playing in the afternoon event which was soon to start. With a scowl on her face she told me; "that is not for you, its only for the morning event". Are you kidding me, a cup of water?? As you can see by these examples they just don't care about satisfying customers, especially a very loyal customer. They need a wake up call and ALOT of training. My thought is that it starts at the top. Another thought to ponder; there will be a time when you'll need my money and this is the first time I've ever posted a negative statement on line so ask yourself, How many others say nothing and never return? WAKE UP!
Enjoyable Round
The course was in very nice condition and fun to play. Many different looks on the holes and plenty of challenge. The facility, range and cart paths are in marginal condition, but course is nice. Overall a very good value.
Great Course
Hitting off the fairway definitely leads to lost balls. One tee box all sand, but obviously under repair. Course very reasonably priced and challenging to play.
Fun, and changling
We live 50 miles away!! We will make the trip again!!
Nice course - good shape
I enjoy playing this course. The greens are in very good shape. There is a nice mix of holes on the course. I’m not a long hitter and I can break 90 from the white tees.
Great course
Great course, very friendly staff.
Little bit more than your usually cheap round of golf, but to me it’s more than worth it. Pace of play is good due to the starter.
Very Enjoyable
Our day was a perfect day for golf. The weather was perfect. We got checked in and started on time. We were not rushed. Just a great day of golfing.
Beautiful, challenging course - great staff!
The course is in great shape. Beautiful Troon course just a few miles away. The pro shop and bar staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We will be back!
