Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club
About
Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club is nestled within a peaceful residential community, but the course is open to the public. Located in southeastern Denver on the border of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties, the golf course offers stunning views of the Rockies from nearly every hole. Arthur Hills designed the course, crafting a traditional links layout that has appeal for players of all skill levels. There are some challenges in store with more than 60 strategically placed bunkers and several lakes coming into play. The rolling terrain also provides a variety of elevation changes in addition to the incredible mountain views. The challenges of the golf course are nicely balanced by wide, accommodating fairways. The dramatic setting coupled with the interesting layout has built Heritage Eagle Bend's reputation as one of the best places to play golf in Colorado.

Fun and Challenging Semi-Private Course
This course is listed as public, but it is a semi-private course in an age restricted community. The course itself is in great shape and challenging given its length. Unlike most courses in the Denver metro area, this course challenges you with a combination of uneven lies, thick rough and tough greens.
The only issue we had was with the resident/members. Multiple residents came out onto their balconies to berate myself and the two other gentlemen I was playing with for where we were driving our carts or searching for lost balls. If this would have been a one-time occurrence I would be inclined to overlook it, but since it happened on multiple occasions I can't give this course more than 3 stars. Nonetheless, I will probably play this course again.
Wouldn't play again
Even mediocre courses in Colorado manage to have spectacular mountain views. Not this one. So, if you like looking at Nabisco Village and slicing and hooking into all those houses the developer managed to pack around the course, this would be the course for you.
The course is nice, but part of the experience of the golf game, IMHO, is being out in nature and the beautiful scenery. The housing developer has managed to make it feel like you are in golf prison by over building. There are lots of bunkers and many hidden greens if you like that stuff.
Excellent course.
I love this playing this course, condition was great for the middle of winter. Cart path only rule is understanding this time of year. Can't wait to play it again as spring and summer start to come around.
great time
Best February golf day ever! Love the look and feel of the course. This is an interesting course for any level of golfer.
Nice course
Nice course with winter conditions. Great value on golf now. Staff was not so friendly. We had a chance to go out a bit earlier but that is not a possibility at HEB. Greens were fair and course conditions very nice for November. It was difficult to judge distance to the green if you aren't in the fairway. No 150 yard stake and many sprinkler heads are not marked. The pace of play was slow. We were only able to complete 16 holes before dark. I would play the course again if the price is right.
Nice course
Forgiving but not easy
Beautiful views
Great condition always
Quiet
Clean
Nice and clean bathrooms
Super friendly stagf
winter conditions
Really fast greens 14 on stempmeter. Need to place in correct spots on the green.
Nice course
I got the cart, loaded it, putted a bit, and then
saw that my cart didn't have a cooler. They have help yourself free
ice for coolers on the carts. So I went in and asked if there
was a cart lady today (like last time) and they said no.
So I took my cart to the back end of the line of the ready carts and
moved my stuff over to one that had a cooler. As I was looking
for the place to park the other cart a guy came out from the cart
barn and asked, "is there something wrong with the cart."
I said, "it doesn't have the thing," (forgot the word cooler) and
pointed to the empty cooler slot. He said, "you could have just
taken one from another cart." I said, "I didn't know..."
He said, "I didn't ask you what you knew I said you could have
taken one from another cart."
Great End of Season Value
Overall value for off season golf is really good, worth playing while the weather stays nice.
Fantastic Fall Golf
Course is in excellent condition. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Fast greens and tough reads made the course very difficult and challenging. The cool weather and beautiful fall views made for a great day of late season golf.
Excellent course conditions and public access to country club environment
The course condidtions, quality, and country club environment are worth the extra fees ($70) while still keeping cost below the high tier Denver course which charge $100+. Pace of play was good (18 in 4 hrs) because they manage tee times 10 minutes apart to avoid over crowding. I was surprised by the elevation changes for the location of this course.
Almost lived here
I was in the first 300 lottery to purchase a home here, but the developer's inability to answer 10 crucial questions caused many of us to decline a purchase. This community did develop into a wonderful place to live. The golf course offers a variety of tee boxes, and I shot two over my age of 81 from the white tees. The course has great diversification, so you don't feel you are playing the same holes over again. I will return here in the future.
Great course
Loved the layout of this course. Course was very green and greens were rolling fast and true for having a few scars from being punched sometime back. Staffers friendly. Practice facility is wonderful and the course was challenging but fair. I'll be back as soon as I can.
Fast and true greens
Many of the denver area courses have punched their greens this time of the year. A necessary evil to maintain the putting conditions we all love the rest of the golf season.
Luckily the greens at Heritage Eagle Bend were in fantastic shape. They were running fast and true. Very fun! Even with an occasional 3 jack!
Play this course now for a great Fall round.
Great day on the links
Golf course is impeccable shape the only thing was we had for twosomes in a row that teed off and there was a threesome holding everybody up The threesome did let to twosomes go through and then they quit after nine Other than that it was a perfect day on the links course . Course was in his green as shape as I've never seen the rough was extremely difficult.
Such a great day were going back on Sunday
1st around the course
Excellent course. Challenging but fair. Warm up facilities above average Staff is very professional
Fun Course with tricky areas!
I played this earlier today before the rain came on the 18th hole. I live very close and come here to practice every other day because the Driving Range, Chipping Areas and Putting Green are amazing. After playing I would definitely play again. Pace of Play was ok and that was mainly because the one group in front of us and they didn't have anyone in front them was slow as can be and my friend and I were partnered with 2 older fellas who were very slow and lost balls often and didn't hit far. Besides that it was awesome!
Till dark
Played till we threw a ball on 18 green and all putted from there just to have a fun finish to a wonderful day. It was our first time on this course, and although we got caught by darkness and missed a couple holes, me and my son had a great time on what is one of the finest courses on the front range. We were very lucky to pair up with a couple of ladies who were not only very good golfers, but fun regulars t help us around the course. Nice open fairways although placement is a key on fairways and approach shots or you can have those below or above the ball lies. He day we played the rough was US open length so that made accuracy important. Large tees make conditions great. Very fair greens and somewhat large although approach to them is tough due to some of the greens raised and some difficult to see entire area. Wonderful and fairly difficult Par 3's. Beautiful layout with the exception of a few holes where the houses are a little to close for comfort.
If you like this course you should enjoy Todd Creek up in Broomfield.
This club, layout, and great staff will leave you with that country club experience.
We certainly can't wait to get back.
Great course, snide young dude in pro shop
Excellent condition and facilities. Young cocky guy in pro shop was only detriment.
