Tough Course
As first-time players, we were surprised at the number of blind shots and deep Canyons on the course. The course was in very good shape and the greens were true. Price was very good and we enjoyed our round.
Challenging Course
This course is very challenging. It has several fairways that are dog-legged & you can't see which way it is going. There needs to be signs showing you which way to go. It also needs visible markers showing the distance to greens.
You Get What You Pay For
I got on the course on a Sunday morning during Labor Day weekend for only $25 including cart. With fees that affordable there are going to be a lot of trade-offs. The course layout is cramped, they had too many groups on the course, greens were in poor condition.... BUT it was only $25 bucks.
Besides the price, the course is fairly easy and short which is great for me and my girlfriend. Greens were very small which made up for some of the short hole distances.
Staff was incredibly friendly.
All in all, if it was a busy weekend and I did not want to spend a ton of money - I would play here again.
Hot afternoon
Course is good for the person learning to play or a senior. Not very long so I played the blue tees which made it more of a challenge.
Golfer
Course had sign out front closed for private event. Let them know we booked online made it difficult but they did allow play later.
Early season round
Fairways not fully grown but still early in season. A little disappointed in condition of greens
TERRIBLE
This course is in the worst shape of a course I have seen in a long time. The greens are the size of a master bathroom. Do not waste your money. It is not worth it. On top of that, we were a twosome who shoots well stuck behind a foursome of older men who would not let us play through.
Wide open layout on front 9
Really enjoyed the front 9 but the small greens made it challenging for a 14 handicap. The back 9 on the other hand is a piece of work unlike any course that I've played before. Blind tee boxes, sloped narrow fairways plus the small greens really sucked the enjoyment out of the day
Good potential
With some investment into the clubhouse and cart paths, this would be an excellent review. The course itself is unique, fun, and challenging.
Bumpy ride
As I entered the clubhouse the lady behind the counter looked up at me then turned her head down with a look of surprise mixed with discuss? I stood waiting patiently while she continued to talk to a "SERVED" patron having a beer, keep in mind still she has not acknowledged my presence...Once she finally came came over, there was no "good morning", " how can I help you", instead she asked, " what did you need"?, I replied, I have 11:00am tee time and prepaid online...She then asked if I had a Confirmation number? I told her my name and that my confirmation number was on my phone which was in my car, WHO DOES THIS??? Never have I ever been treated so rude and nasty. Needless to say her attitude changed quickly, once I told her that I have never experienced anything like this while simply trying to play golf!!!
Fairfield golf course
The course is really nice for intermediate and good players. The greens are a little small but in great condition. It has been raining here for the last couple of months hard and still the course is fine condition. Would recommend others to play here for sure.
Bugs
The course was in pretty decent shape but the bugs were out of control to the point where it was distracting.
Great course horrible paths
I really truly enjoyed playing the course but the cart paths are worthless and the entire back nine is basically an off-road adventure of gravel and rivets and mud. I understand it had recently rained but it didn't look like they had improved the paths in a decade.
Otherwise the greens were nice and there was barely any tall grass areas. Most every hole had great tee boxes and nice cut fairways. Wish I had stayed in more of them!
Perfect Day to Start Golf Season
Getting a late start to the golf season, this was the perfect course to get the rust off. Not real crowded, so the pace of play was great, didnt have to wait and didnt have to feel rushed either. Greens and fairways in good condition, no complaints.
Always a friendly staff that makes the 19th hole enjoyable, will be playing this course again this year.
Too Tricky
This course is in good shape, but requires a lot of course knowledge and 'forecaddying'. On several holes we had to drive the cart up to see if there were any golfers in our range, and also to verify where the landing area was. Most of the greens are very small, and the fairways are narrow and hard to see. Many blind shots and doglegs. Not a course I would play again.
Short but challenging course.
The course is less than 6000 yds. long from the tips, but the usually narrow fairways, many doglegs, deep rough, and several water hazards make accuracy a must. The greens and tee boxes were in excellent shape. The fairways were in good or better shape. The cart path on the 2nd nine is only gravel and very uneven and rough.
Only an OK experience
Much like many of the other reviews, I experienced much the same though some issues made less difference for me.
1. Green size. Yep, smallish greens. If they built a golf course in Munchkinland, the green on #9 would be the model.
2. Lack of direction on the course. If they didn't have a map on the back of the scorecard I'd have had a tough time finding the #4 tee from the #3 green. It was sometimes difficult to tell which way to go to get to the next hole. Blind tee shots, uphill into a dogleg made it necessary to drive up the hill before teeing off just to see which way the hole went.
3. #14 is ridiculous. You'll have to see it.
4. Fairway and greens were in good condition.
5. Front nine cart paths paved. Back nine, gravel and somewhat rough.
6. No restroom I could find on the front nine. Only 1 on the back.
All in all I wouldn't play this course for over $20. Cheaper would be better. It's short, less than 6k yards from the tips. Staff was good just not a course I'd think about going back to soon.
Fairfield
The greens were amazing! If you're looking for a beginners course, it's a great course to practice on.
Fairfield in Aug
Great green postage stamp greens. Some narrow mostly green fairways. You have to be on your game to stay in the fairways.
