Owl's Creek Family Golf Center

Never played the course b4, 60 degrees and a little wet (but hey, its February golf), you could tell the course had a rough winter. Played with my 80 yr old Dad, so it was a fantastic round. 12 par 3's, 4 par 4's and 2 par 5's- shot 6 over, given there are a couple blind greens and hit or miss on the distance to hazards in the middle of fairways- was happy with score (included a double that went into the water, after driving the ball center fairway, into a ditch/creek.... who knew!). Greens are in horrible shape, they need some TLC once the weather turns. ....... all in all, would do it again, fun/fast, some holes are challenging/some not but when you play with your Dad, doesn't get any better.

Pro shop is virtually nonexistent, no merchandise, no food or beverages........
I first played this course in the early 90's, then it was a wonder place to work out kinks in a short game. It has gone from that to a waste of a good piece of property in VaBeach. Sand in the traps need to be mowed!! Greens are pitted, not just unrepaired ball marks, there are pits in the putting surface. Zero drainage, terrible on wet days. This land would be better served with nice condos built on it.

No sand in sand traps, just weeds. This should be called a PAR 3 course, 12 of 18 are Par 3`s! Don't go after rain, doesn't drain well at all.

MY wife and I couldn't think of a cource not being worth seven dollars per player. But, we finally found one, OWL CREEK. We quit playing the cource after four holes and lost of ten balls due over grown grass. Never will I play this cource.10/02

Some greens had weeds growing on them, and most bunkers were also full of weeds. Frequent fly overs by Navy jets were interesting, but could be loud.

This is a great course if you are in a hurry, my twosome played it in 2 1/2 hours. It's funny and challenging.

Some of the hole were short . they were scenic and beautiful . unfortunately the day we played there were lots of rain
