About
Blackstone Golf Club is one of the hidden gems of Chicagoland golf courses. It has one of the most natural landscapes of any course in the area thanks to the incorporation of more than 26 acres of environmentally protected wetlands. Half of the course is routed through dense forests of oak and hickory trees while the other half stretches across lush, open meadows. The wetlands come into play on 13 holes. Bob Lohmann, the golf course’s designer, crafted dramatic bunkers with irregular edges and strategically placed more than 50 of them along the greensides and fairways. It’s not a golf course where you can “grip it and rip it,” instead it will force you to think carefully before each hole. The layout can be a challenging test but four sets of tees and wide, player-friendly fairways make Blackstone G.C. more accessible for a wide range of skill levels.

Great Track Poor Clubhouse
It's COVID 19 and none of the staff in proshop wear masks. Nor do most of the golfers in clubhouse. Steer clear of here until COVID passes.

Terrific upkeep
They have a guy who walks around filling in divots in the fairway. They have made turn arounds wider so carts don't go in the grass. All cart paths are in perfect shape. Greens are terrific. The fellow who puts in the holes on the greens must not play golf. A lot of those are on slopes or mounds on the green. They do an excellant job of leaf removal to keep speed of play moving. Have never had a round over 4 hrs and 10 min

course had great layout
This golf course contains a near perfect layout, on top of that the condition of the course is nice with a few not fixed ball marks on green but other than that 10/10.

Disappointed with the greens
We walked up to the tee box and noticed they had been recently aerated. I asked the starter if the greens had also been aerated and said yes, but 10 days ago. The greens were in terrible shape. No roll, extremely bumpy, and very unkempt. I have played here twice before and was very impressed, but today I left feeling like it was a $30 round, not $60.

Death March
I like the course and layout but I’ve walked off course the last 3 times around the 13 th hole because of very very slow pace of play. 3 almost 4 foursomes on a hole at the same time. They need an aggressive ranger policy so that rounds don’t take longer than 4:15 - 4:25 hours to play.

Great course well worth the drive
Blackstone is quite a drive but well worth it. Course was paths only the day we played due to persistent heavy rains the day before and while that slowed the pace of play and most bunkers were filled with water, the rest of the course was still in great shape.
The layout is challenging yet fair greens rolled great. In typical conditions they likely roll in the 11+ range and were slowed a bit by the wet turf. Need to pay attention to the GPS when it comes to fairway and greenside bunkers particularly on holes with elevation changes.
Staff is friendly and the 19th hole is great. Overall an excellent round!

Blackstone presents Midwest golf at its best. Great layout, enough hazards to test your game without being punishing, and great conditions. Challenging but fair setup. Friendly staff and nice amenities. Definitely worth a visit.

Black stone golf course
Hands down best course I have played this year.
Always in superb condition. Challenging greens that make you work for it. I recommend this course to anyone looking for a challenge on a great track.

Worth the Drive!
Easily one of the best public golf courses in the Midwest. Don't pass on Blackstone just because it's a few extra minutes drive. Conditions are top notch, the layout was fun and challenging, and an overall excellent experience.
