Visually entertaining
It was mens day club at the course, so pace was just a little slow. The course meanders through the housing area, but their landscaping certainly kept us looking and observing.
The greens were in good shape, and the course was in good shape overall. Didn't quite get the picture wanted of Mt. Hood from the fairway due to few clouds.
My only negative is the online booking. It mentions a $50 rate and not until checkout, does it say that is a walking rate.
I pointed this out to the pro shop staff, and he had a comeback for that question, that my guess is quite common for first time players to the course.
The starter, marshalls were all friendly and quite helpful.
Challenging but fair test of golf.
Course in great shape; fairways plush with no noticeable bare or dead spots; greens rolling true. Need to keep your ball in play as some fairways are narrow with wetlands gobbling up errant shots. Beautiful scenery throughout. Definitely a course you want to play more than once.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful Views!
Played on a beautiful 65 degree day in February. Some balls plugged due to recent rains but overall the course was very playable considering it is still winter. Pace of play was extremely slow at the start, but picked up on the back nine. This is not a friendly walking course. There are long distances between holes, but with a cart it is a great layout. There is lots of sand and some water and a lot of carries over natural areas. The sand is pure white and very fluffy. Really enjoyed this course as we wove through the trees, meadows and swampy natural areas. Can't wait to cone back in the summer!
Fun layout
Few holes were tough especially into east wind, fun course to play , would recommend riding though.
Between the green to next tee box is relatively long for most part.
I would definitely come back and play again!!!
Camas
The course was in decent shape for a Late November outing. Greens were in great shape.
Rodney L. Berry
i liked the course. It was good to golf. the course seemed to be kept in good use condition
Attitude
Guy in the pro shop was kinda hostile. I live in Portland and had never been out to Camas Meadows but saw a nice Hot Deal so thought I'd give it a try. I got there early and both practice greens were closed for maintenance. Seemed to be pretty empty so I asked if I could just tee off early. He insisted that the four Hot Deal customers all wait and tee off together at the time we purchased, even though there was no one else scheduled. Seemed to have a pretty negative attitude towards GolfNow customers, saying they've had "real issues" with GolfNow customers asking to tee off ahead of their time. Not sure what it's hurting when there's no one else there (or why they are even on GolfNow). Have had nothing but good experiences elsewhere using GolfNow Hot Deals. Enjoyed the course, but not sure I'll go back with that kind of attitude.
Hot dry summer really did a number on the fairways!
Always a great course to play! Usually lush, and green, but this unusually dry, hot summer really damaged the fairways. The greens are in good condition, the bunkers have awesome new sand, and the pace of play was great. Once our normal weather returns, the course will be back to normal.
Ball Eater
Starting at 630 am found the greens littered with debris and the fairways soaking wet. The course is a lowland cow path. Little grooming has gone into the development of the tight fairways and punishing rough. The weed bowl eats the balls inches off the first cut. But the worst part of the morning was the attitude of the desk at check in. That kid might have been a player once but stuck inside his arrogance is unbecoming to the game. He argued with me about my prepaid registration through golf now. I will not be returning to Camas.
Camas Meadows
Really enjoy the layout of the course. the green to next tee box is fairly long on ~7 holes, so cart would be best. Well maintained and greens hold your ball. Very scenic from clubhouse/restaurant down 18th fairway. Have played this course 6 times and will go back.
Great course
Staff friendly. Course is well maintaned. Greens are in great shape. Fairways have some small dry spots. But by far the best fairways I have played this summer. Tee boxes are in great shape also. Practice area's are very nice.
They do have some blind shots that make it difficult for the first time playing the course.
Good Course bad facilities
It was a over 10o degree F but nothing to water system and no cart truck.
GOOD OUTING ON A CHALLENING COURSE
GOT OUT LATE DUE TO RAIN SHOWERS. COURSE WAS A BIT WET BUT THE GREENS WERE THE BEST I'V BEEN ON. PUTTING WAS TRUE AND FAST FAIRWAYS A LITTLE SLOW DUE TO RAIN.
beautiful day
nice views, some tight fairways, subtle breaks on greens. Staff was willing to help and there is an actual Marshall on the course.
Great Course
Course was in great shape, pace was great as we finished right at 4 hours. Would definitely recommend this course to everyone
Beautiful location and course
Good condition, pleasant surroundings and plenty of challenges. Especially some carries. Country club feel, although Sunday wedding preparations somewhat interfering with golfing experience ...
Another great round
Always great when you can get a GolfNow bundle with discount. Course is in great shape, many bunkers have been redone of late, and much improved. Love the practice facility. Always great to be able to drive cart on fairways and utilize GPS.
