Picturesque gem
Chose this course over a couple others sight unseen. Mainly based on green fees and the logic that if it costs a bit more it must be a bit nicer. And I was right!
Fun layout. Good condition with quality greens and traps. Although it's walkable, would recommend the cart, since it has GPS and it is a jaunt from green to the next tee. Had a blast.
Plugged green, wish I was told prior to playing
I made a reservation on Golf Now, when I showed up I was told I could only play the front 9 twice, because they had just plugged the back nine that morning
I would never had booked a tee time had I known that!
Great golf experience
I am a preferred player at Camas Meadows and enjoy the course every time I go out there. The facilities are typically well maintained and the staff are very friendly. Food and beverages are great in their clubhouse, so take some time to eat while you're out there. Only downside is that on a busy day the pace of play can get pretty bogged down. If you get out there on a drizzling day, the course can get muddy, but the pace of play will be incredible.
This is not the deepest course (6,500 yards from tips) but very challenging for golfers of every level. Playing the proper tee box for your skill level is imperative to have an enjoyable round. Camas is a shot makers course that requires precision off the tee box and some touch around the greens to shoot good scores. Lots of penalties and trouble on every hole for bad shoots.
Overall it is a very picturesque course with some enjoyable sights from the tee box. Not too much undulation but enough to give a good feel of the layout. Worth getting out there for a round.
Great Day
Awesome round of golf. Great deal through golf now. Course was in great early year conditions. A walking group of three should have been faster, but two groups of three in carts ahead of us were slow.
Worth The Drive
We came from Olympia and found this course to be awesome. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!
Orm
One of the best in sw Washington and northern oregon can't wait to go back.
Requires confident shot making.
Bring a range finder or a lot of balls. Pay close attention if you expect to score.
Not a course when it is wet...
Rained all day... course was in good shape without the rain but it is not a wet weather course. No towels on carts when it was raining hard... got dirty one's when we asked for some.
good deal from golf now!
I got a deal for 18 holes with a cart for $15. first week of march with some mist and very little rain, had the whole course to myself and made the most of it. The conditions were a little muddy but made it challenging, still made quite a few pars. Even had a couple chances for birdies. Sun would've been nice, but hey, it's washington!
Friendly staff. Great value
Staff were very accommodating. Fairways were in great condition. Excellent value for the money. Would recommend course.
Wet
It was a tough day of attempting to find the ball. A lot of the bunkers were ground under repair which was frustrating to say the least. Just really super wet conditions, plays better in the dry!
Great Golf Course!
My first time out to Camas Meadows and it was everything I'd heard about. Really fun course, with some easier holes and some challenging ones. Great scenery. Can't wait to go back!
Christmas eve miracle!
Fun round, nice greens, wet but its December 10 cents a shot good value or bad game
Classy clubhouse
Booked a discount 18 holes for two on Sunday, not crowded at all, course was wet due to all the NW rains but greens were nice. We treated ourselves to Happy Hour cheeseburgers $6 they were freshly grilled and juicy. Bathroom is always clean and lightly perfumed, with cotton swabs, after shave, etc. more akin to high-end resorts or private clubs. Nice touch!
I love this place
This course is public but it feels like a private club. The course is pretty wide open but has some challenging holes too to keep anyone interested. Lot's of forced carries over "wilderness areas". Only down side was the group in front of us was slooooow. The marshall talked to them on about the 7th hole but their pace didn't really pick up. I didn't let it spoil my day - this is a great course.
poor condition of course
I was disappointed to find out that once on the course that the greens had recently been aerated which neither Golfnow nor the staff mentioned upon booking. Furthermore many of the traps were under repair. The staff said that Golfnow should have indicated of the recent aeration and felt it was not their problem.
The season
I love this course but it's the time of season for aeration and sanding the greens. The small discount for course aeration was not enough. In a couple of weeks I'm sure it will be back to its impeccable condition.
Fairway bunker & fairways.
Fairway bunkers were horrible, fairways were overwatered, lost two plugged balls in middle of fairway
Nice course and facilities
Camas Meadows is a beautiful course with one of the finest practice facilities I have seen - anywhere. We played after a downpour; what the locals would call a drizzle and it drained pretty well. The carts have GPS and the clubhouse is gorgeous with a top-notch lounge/restaurant.
it is a great course to play
I really enjoy golfing at camas meadow course. The staff people are really friendly to golfers
