Golf Advisor: Top Courses in Oregon
stone Creeek Oregon City
Being from the Northeast you could not find a more reasonable priced, well maintianed, as good as any private course. Challenging
Stone Creek is the best fall/winter course in the area. Greens were in good shape as were the bunkers (a plus this time of year). This course plays the driest during the wet months. Play well on the front side, the back is much more of a challenge.
Beautiful challenging course
Fabulous experience. Worth every penny. Fantastic condition.
Great day in the rain
Really enjoyed playing at Stone creek today. It was a rainy day, but the course was in great condition. I took advantage of a “Hot Deal” so it was very affordable. Great experience all the way around.
Always enjoy playing this course. Even in wet weather, fairways and greens run well. Greens are smooth and true.
They over booked!!
Great course usually. Great drainage. Greens and Fairways in good condition. They squeezed in men's club groups in the morning and the rest of the day was a disaster. I ended up going almost 50min after the tee time and the round took 5 hours. No marshals moving things along. Imagine coming and seeing 4 carts and over 6 other walkers waitinf at the first tee...
Worth a drive from wherever you have to come from. Will definitely look to come back.
The greens had been recently sanded, but otherwise the course was in very good shape.
Good course, very slow play
Nice course. White tees are kind of short yardage, the blues more like what I see as white at other courses. Play took 4:50 to complete. Had to wait at every tee.
This was my first time playing at Stone Creek. We had a lot of fun playing, the course was well maintained, well managed and an excellent price for what you get. I will definitely be back.
Course was challenging and in great condition. Better be able to read greens and putt. Some of the faster greens I have played on.
Great place to play
The course is well maintained. The layout is challenging while still more wide open than other courses. The traps were racked that morning.
A local favorite
If you've played golf with a few random strangers in the Portland area and you start talking about favorite courses to play in the area, chances are they'll say Stonecreek. For good reason.
The front line plays very links style, the back nine plays very typical of PNW golf with tree-lined fairways and elevation changes. The greens are usually immaculate, some of the best in the area for public courses if not the best. Best way to describe the greens, ICY.
One of the only playable golf courses in Portland during the wet/cold months, drainage is excellent.
I keep coming back and each time I enjoy the course more and more.s
Course was in great shape
Course was in great shape, very fast fairways and greens. They had a tournament tee off on the back 9 when we started and we caught up to a couple of groups. On holes 3-9 none of the tee box markers were set up so we were forced to just wing it but other than that it was a good experience.
It is a pleasure to play on a public course where the greenskeeper take a great deal of pride in maintaining the course. It was in excellent shape!
