Goo course to play
Greens are all quite steep (some very) and fast. If putting from above, extremely fast. Putts from flag high or even below can have big breaks. Fairway conditions just OK. Tree lined with some elevation changes. Hole #9 does not finish at clubhouse.
It was so play, today.
The s
Mens' skins group in front of us added a player on hole 3 to become a fivesome. By the time they reached hole 6, they were 2 holes behind the group ahead of them. While waiting to tee off on #14, one of the players in front of us relieved himself by the wall bordering the fairway. Another player relieved himself next to his cart in the middle of the fairway on #18.
Driving range
Would like toes the driving range open earlier on Thursdays. 1200 noon would be good time. All of my 10 friends agree to this comment. Thank you
North course A.Hills golf
This course is well kept. Staff is very accommodating. Wind can be a problem at time the ball would blow off the tee. Just being out for a day of golf is of great value.
Great pace of play
The north course was in good shape, pace of play was nice course was wide open. There’s no ball wash stations
Nice set up. Played north course!
This course has options for golfers. North course is a nicely tree lined layout. South course is a little more open. Staff was great, restaurant looked very good aswell. We had a lot of wind some gusts over 25mph. Still it was a fun afternoon of golf. Play took 3 hours and 20 minutes for 18 holes.
Birthday round
The staff was amazing. The course pace of play was good .
We played behind the skins game that had 5 people in the group and seemed to move along well.
There wasn't any ball washers , not sure why..
Greens were in very nice condition.
The course was in relatively good condition given the time of year. The pace of play was rather slow for a Wednesday but not much you can do about it.
Noisy
Lots of airplane, traffic and cicadas noise..slow pace of play and the group behind hit into us twice. Lots of trees and some long par fours. Greens we're in good shape
Just average
The greens were the bright spot here. Tees were barely OK with little grass on most. Many blind shots. Fairways just average with many bare areas. Pace somewhat slow at 4:30 on North course.
Continue to be disappointed with their progress
I love these two courses, the North more than the South because. The North courseit has tons of tall trees which provide lots of relief from the sun/heat, and the wind which blows a lot out there especially in the afternoon this time of year.
However, both courses (and it seems especially the North) continue to have some big issues with the grass in the fairways, the fringe near the greens, and even in in the rough with bald/dead/dried spots. Even many of the tee boxes you can’t even stand on a level lie due to this issue. Unless you want to play some kind of modified “summer rules” and move your ball several feet or even yards you can’t get you ball on a “normal” lie, and in man6 cases you can’t even get both feet on a level lie. He bunkers have nominal sand and don’t seem to have been attended to in weeks. I do understand it’s monsoon season in AZ but that is nothing new here. Many times their staff hasn’t even filled the sand containers on the carts and have none available it you ask at the clubhouse. My understanding is it’s now being managed by Troon based on a 2 page letter posted in the men’s locker room. (Will attempt to provide a copy and attach it here). There was no date on the letter but I saw it on June 23rd and don’t feel they have made much progress since he March “frosts”.
course tees
The course doesn't have lady's tees. It played to long for my wife at 6000 yards.
Antelope North
New Ownership is still working on repairing a lot of the damaged areas. Tee boxes are in poor shape. Greens are still fantastic, with the North Course greens being significantly more difficult than the south. GREAT DAY!
