Lone Tree Golf Club

I took two out of town friends as they wanted to golf somewhere other than my Club. The course was enjoyable to play, ultra dry on the fairways so the ball really rolled a long way. The greens were very fast but we adapted.
When we checked in we were told that we would be joined by a fourth, a man whose young son was riding with him. We were OK with this but a bit surprised when we found out that the boy had his own clubs. And he was five years old! The lad was not really mis-behaved, just a typical child of that age. He was allowed by his dad to hit some shots down the fairway and actually had a very nice swing. He also dropped and a ball on each green to practice putting. He often did so in front of one of our balls and seemed oblivious to us when'll we were attempting our own putts. At one point I hit a decent shot about 10 feet from the pin but when I approached the green after getting out my putter, my ball had disappeared. The little boy had picked it up and put it in his pocket!
He only golfed the first nine because his Mom was picking him up. On the tenth tee I heard music playing pretty clearly and assumed it was coming from one the houses along the fairway. I kept hearing music and thought a lot of people were enjoying a nice day in their backyards, listening to their favourite tunes. I eventually clued in. Our fourth had turned on a portable Bluetooth player in his cart for the back nine. I got used to the music though it seemed a bit strange. This was definitely a first for me.
We are retired seniors, high handicappers and pretty laid back. So this did not really get under our skin and certainly did not spoil the round. The "Dad" was very nice and we all enjoyed each others' company. I must admit, though, that I felt $90 (including tax and booking fees) was far too much for this "experience". It is more what I would expect from a low budget municipal course.
I told my regular golf partner about this and I said that a lot of people would have complained about having to golf with a five year old. He said, "well a lot of people would complain if they had to play with you." Got me!!

Great course, great staff, great pace of play… basically everything you would expect and more.

The course was in good shape. Pace of play got really starting slow about the 9th hole (3 PM) on a Thursdsy and continued to get slower. Waited approx. 16 minutes to tee off on hloe #12.

Easy to find. Easy check in. Price still 87. Clean carts with ice in chests. The best cart seats water buckets for towels Drinking fountains on course. Tees generallly good. Fairways good roughs generally ok. Greens putt well and almost always some curve. Bunkers with some sand. Played in 4:20. Can’t take carts to car. Need to put yellow tees on the score card

Great course I love the layout but the fairways were patchy and the greens were not in good shape. Great staff and service but not worth the price for a tee time.

The course is in excellent condition overall. The only issues are: (1) The greens do not hold and the balls roll off easily when you land from the fairway. (2) The greens are very fast and many are slanted contributing to the endless rolls evn with a light touch.

The pace of play was perfect. we didnt have to wait to hit our shots. And nobody was hitting to us. Over all the course was great.

Nice layout. Fairways and greens were good. Roughs had spotty grass. Bunkers pretty hard. Friendly starter and polite guy in pro shop. Very friendly bag boy after
our round. Priced a bit high for area. I did enjoy my round.

My husband and I visit Phoenix every March just to golf. This was our first time playing this course. It was a cold and windy day but we still enjoyed the course. The course was in good shape and the greens were very fast. The staff was super friendly. We will definitely play this course again.

Enjoyed the round. Paired up for front 9 with 2 regulars which was helpful with "local knowledge" - pace was decent. Back 9 slowed up but largely due to being a single behind 3 foursomes.
Course in decent condition (some areas around greens lacking in grass in 1st or 2nd cut but nothing major), fairways were in great shape, greens hard and fast.
Pro Shop, Starter, were all extremely friendly. Value for money for a perfect weather Friday afternoon. Would play again.

I've played this course a number of times - was in great shape. Took some friends and they enjoyed it as well. We had lunch after the round and it was clear our server did not want to be there. However, the others, including the beverage cart person, were very friendly
