Lone Tree Golf Club
About
Located close to the San Tan Mountains, the course at the Lone Tree Golf Club offers not only a good game but also beautiful mountain views. This championship golf course was done in a traditional desert-style with rolling fairways and fast greens that are large and undulating. There are also several sand bunkers that protect both the fairways and the greens. Water hazards come into play on five holes and extensive mounding adds further challenge. The course features four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Lone Tree Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a targeted grass range, a large putting green, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Well designed course. Good value.
It was supposed to be a cold, cloudy day, but the sun broke through and the weather was warm and sunny. The course is in good shape and the greens were excellent. Can't wait to play there again soon.
Fun place.
4 hour round. Greens were rolling really smooth and fairly quick. My only birdie was hitting a coot! 😂
Fun round. Only negative was all the coots.
Great course, but greens were terrible
When we checked in they never mentioned the condition of. the greens. There was a layer of sand on every green, bad enough that your ball was coated after putting.
Was disappointed about having to play with the greens in that condition, and no one saying anything. Not the pro shop, not the starter, nothing.
Good value and friendly staff
Course was in pretty good shape for January. Unfortunately, they had just sanded and fertilized the greens. Very nice grill and bar area. Nice practice facilities.
First time
Found this gem on golf now checked reviews and nothing was recent so my expectations were low! What a pleasant surprise! Fairways were generous and varied! greens firm but held tuff pins today! I can't wait to play again!
Overpriced for how beat up it is.
Over $160 for green fees and range balls. The course was in rough shape. Rough was dried out and basically dirt. They tried to spray paint it to fake it but it’s already gone. Around the green is dead and not maintained. If you miss the green expect to chip off cement like dirt. Some of the greens were I guess okay, but most were dried out and beat up. All and all if the price was $90-$100 I would say you get what you pay for but for over $160 they need to try a little harder. Won’t be playing again till the prices reflect the condition of the course.
Always consistent
Greens very nice and dast and are very consistent, playedmany times have never experienced a poor manicuredcourze.
Greens are unputtable
When I arrived, I noticed the practice green was completely covered in sand. I asked the starter if this was going to be the conditions of all the greens and they said no. That wasn’t the truth as every green was completely covered in sand so bad that you could see all the foot prints from the whole day and all the ball lines. I work on a golf course and have been golfing for over 40 years. I don’t understand why you would send your greens the beginning of January in the heart of tourist season and still charge $90 around. Saw the card girl on hole number nine and she said she was done for the day. It was only a little after two on Wednesday.
Worst green’s I’ve played on since overseed
The greens were covered in sand and completely impossible to put on. Why in the world would you have your greens in this condition during the busiest time of the year? Also, only saw the beer girl twice on the front nine and then she quit for the day. My playing partner lost his towel on the third hole and somebody said the Ranger picked it up. We never saw the Ranger again the whole round for him to get his towel back. The shape the greens were in made this course worth 50 bucks at the most.
