The greens weren't in the best shape but everything else was great. They were still rolling good. The layout and fairways were beautiful.
I‘am from Germany, played very Bad, but my group was totally enthusiastic, and I too. When you come to Naples play this course, wonderful believe me.
Best ever, thanks to Jack...
Can’t say enough about this course.
I’ve been coming here for 6 years and everything is always on point. Bag drop staff are friendly and efficient. Pro shop professionals are just that, professional and welcoming. In particular Lucas. He’s engaging and is a great example of what at a Club Pro should be. The starters are friendly and work hard to organize the first tee in a professional and friendly manner.
Now the course. This course is difficult, don’t be afraid to play from a tee deck shorter then you may normally play. It will be a challenge and you may just enjoy the experience more.
The course conditions are typically outstanding. Greens are fast and roll very true. Being below the hole is a must.
Pace of play is spot on. On course service is great. Club house F+B staff are friendly and attentive.
Bottom line, it’s excellent from start to finish.
Bring your A game
Starter told us very few shoot the handicap, and he was right. Fairways were not forgiving for errant tee shots. Almost all the greens were pushed up and difficult to hold. No running up here. And then you get on the green and they were quick and undulating. Beautiful looking though. (No Houses)
Good day on the links
Great layout that will absolutely keep you on your toes form any tee. Unfortunately the round took over 5 hours :-(. Will play again hopefully they can pick up the pace a bit.
Very hard course
Extremely challenging layout with undulating greens. Almost unfair greens.
Challenges from every tee box
This Nichlaus Signature course offers choices and challenges on every shot from tee to cup.
Try to arrive early and use the excellent practice areas.
Greens are large, fast and undulating. Three putts to get down make the greens more than half of the work.
Fairways are wide and well maintained, but water hazards, sand hazards and dense Florida plantings line both sides of the fairways on most. holes. This course is not a forgiving, resort style course.. It is a test of the golfer's skill with every ckub in the bag.
A real golf course, no houses, just nature. Fairways and greens in perfect condition, layout always a challenge
Great, challenging course which requires a variety of shots , excellent condition (perfect greens), friendly staff and a four hour round. Perfect day. Highly recommended.
One of My Favorites in Florida
First time playing this course and I really loved it. Layout was fair and challenging at the same time. Traditional bunkers as I like. Some Midwest feel on a few holes. Greens in great shape. Tees very good. All around a very enjoyable round and I will be sure to play this one every time down in the future. Been coming down for over 20 years and never played this...was missing out!
Beautiful and Tough
This is close you can get to a private country club that is open to the public. It is well maintained with a great layout and very tricky greens. My score was not even close to my handicap but I enjoyed the experience.. Two pet peeves occurred today (1) there was a very slow foursome in front of us that led to a 4 hour and 45 minute round and (2) the battery died in the GPS unit on our cart.
A great layout that requires thought throughput. Greens were newly sanded but still surprisingly fast. Sand was consistent throughout the course. Good staff. I’ll definitely be back.
Old Corscrew is one of the best and most demanding courses I have ever played. Every ground shot is high value, the green complexes are extremely challenging, and the setting is unique. I wouldn’t recommend it for a high handicapper (18+) though. Staff was very friendly but needed something more on course rangers. Disappointed that we finished at 4:30 and the grill was already closed. Bottom line: can’t wait to tee it up here again soon!
