Old Corkscrew Golf Club

The setting of this course is beautiful. It is a very difficult course. Target golf. So tight everywhere. Must play it at least 3 times to figure it out. Greens: At the end they told us that they had a disease last year and they are working on redoing all the greens so they do not mow them. They will be great as soon as they can start mowing them. I will go back when I find out the greens are mowed. Staff is so friendly. It is high season in March so this was the only course I could find to play.

Challenging Nicklaus designed course. Green maintenance and pace of play were disappointing given cost to play. Greens need work!

Couse was in average condition. Little to thin grass on fairways and rough.
Admin was confused and charge my credit card twice. Still trying to resolve with Visa.
Would not recommend at $240.00.

I have always enjoyed playing Old Corkscrew in the past however this past week the greens were in very poor shape. They should (1) let you know in advance when they are having trouble with the greens and (2) offer a discount because of the poor conditions.

We had great anticipation to play as we expected a great golf experience based on price. The greens were terrible, lots of dead spots and inconsistent speed, the bunkers were mostly mud and not sand. Fairways were good and it is a nice course. We expected so much more for course conditioning. 1 and done, we will not go back.

If this isn’t already on your bucket list, it should be. Great Course glue I will be coming back to play this track again!

Had an incredible time playing Old Corkscrew today. The scenery and wildlife only added to the great experience we had. The natural setting and not having homes or condos surrounding the course set it apart from the many other courses we have played in SWFL. The giant USA Flag flying on the par 3 Hole 7 was super cool!

The outside staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the course and let us know where everything was and what we could expect while on the property. Check in was easy and the food and beverage staff took great care of us after the round. We will definitely be back to enjoy again!

Was very pleased with this course, can be challenging but also getable if played correctly. Course conditions were great and staff was very accommodating. Will be back, this place is a ‘must play’ course if you’re in the SWFL area.

They let to many 2somes out and play was slow.

This is a Fantastic layout. A difficult Nicklaus design. Interestingly, the greens are smaller than the average he designs adding to the challenge.
Unfortunately, the overall conditions are poor, especially for the tremendously elevated greens fees. These were $225 for an early morning time. The conditions for a course layout of this caliber, and price were poor to say the least. Slow and inconsistent greens.
Disappointing
They were already 10 minutes behind on the first tee. Play was relatively slow.
If this gets back to the good old days, it certainly is worth playing but for the current fees and conditions, I would not go back which is sad.

We book here every time we are in the area. Incredibly scenic at every turn, gorgeous greens. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The charge for a guest/rider seems excessive.

Every time I have played this course, the reward feels amazing. Challenging course but so worth it! I have played many Jack Nicklaus courses across the country, and Old Corkscrew stays a top contender. I have recommended this course to friends, family, and collogues, and they have never been disappointed. The hospitality in the pro shop and grill room is great. I can't say enough good things about this course!!!!!!!!!!
