Lake Presidential Golf Club

My buddies and I decided to play a round at Lake Presidential on Sunday, July 16th. We showed up and were greeted by staff members and paid our green fees. We were told that it was cart path only and I was ok with that knowing that they are trying to bring the course back to its pristine condition that it once was. We paid $63 for our fees on a Sunday, which is not bad at all. The course is not back to where it needs to be, but it isn't far from it. There are a few dead spots here and there, but nothing like it was last summer. I was the one in our group that was hesitant about playing here, as there are a lot of options around us in the Annapolis/Baltimore area. I am happy that I played here. The only concern is the pace of play. It took us almost 6 hours to play. There were marshals all over the course and I told them that the group in from of us (twosome) wouldn't let us play through. They were hitting multiple shots from the tee box and not playing ready golf. We had a threesome and were right on their heels all of the way. Other than that, no gripes. Glad to see the investment and commitment to the course. Lake Presidential needs to live up the the hype it once had.

I always like the course layout. For some reason the back nine has a slower pase of play. But over all I enjoy playing there. This was my second time playing there.

I was not told only 9 holes were open and those greens were aerated no ranger to regulate the golfers starting on the first hole and the ones making the turn and replay ing the 9 holes

The conditions can be up and down, but their down time is better than dog tracks imo. Their up times are immaculate. I always know I'm getting good value for the round if it's less than $70 lol

This course looked so interesting on line. It lived up to its expectations. It will look even better as we get into spring. Worth the drive.

This is a great design that will keep you on your toes regardless of the tee box you select. There is a lot of water, tree lined fairways, sand traps, and elevation changes to play around. The greens rolled well and the chipping areas were well groomed. The staff was friendly. I will return.

The views alone were amazing. The course was a lot of fun with the layout being moderately difficult. Was definitely a great time for me and my wife who just rides and doesn't play. This course was definitely worth the money.

9 minute gaps between tee times on this course are a joke. Over 6 hours for a round supposed to tee off at 9am. Waiting on practically every shot throughout the day. It is such an easy fix but the management are more interested in the money grab than creating a positive golfing experience. That money obviously does not go into the course itself. Course has great bones, but poorly manicured throughout. Bunkers not maintained and greens and teeboxes not looked after either. Won't be back again.

It took 3 hours 20 minutes to finish 9 holes. There were no personal to control this. Only finished 13 hole due to darkness. Office closed so l couldn’t get rain check. Terrible experience.

We got out during the week, and its been dry so the course played pretty well. Breezed through 8 holes before we met 2 4somes, then needed to remember the pace of play is a little slower - but overall very happy

Remember to rake bunks and fix ball marks/divots - no one is going to do it for you!

Course was in great shape. Definitely will play this in season. 5 different tee boxes set the course up well for any skill level. Large undulated greens can be challenging. Overall great value and well presented course.
