Broad Run Golfer's Club
About
Designed by Rees Jones, Broad Run Golfer's Club boasts one of the best layouts in the area. The course sprawls across over 370 acres of rolling hills countryside. The dramatic elevations are definitely not something you would expect from a golf course that is conveniently situated so close to downtown Philadelphia. The elevated tees feel as though they're in the clouds and mature trees frame most of the holes. There are hazards lurking throughout the golf course including swampy marshlands and tall, dense grasses that are all just waiting to swallow errant shots. It is a challenging layout no doubt but it is made more player friendly with generous fairways and Jones was also light on the bunkering. One of the most difficult and scenic holes is the par-5 15th. This hole plays uphill, featuring a blind tee shot to a plateau green surrounded by trees.

Great course, slow play
Played here numerous times. Great scenic challenging course. Sub 8 handicap playing with 2 friends that only play 1-2 times a year. Got stuck behind 3some and ended up having to play a 6 hour round.
Waited on every shot. Ranger drove by numerous times during round but never was assisted in playing through or speeding up play.
Understand they may have been members, but 6 hours is ridiculous.
One of best courses in area minus the slow play.
Tough course
Course layout and conditions are very good. I do not recomend for novice golfers or people who struggle with walking hilly terrain. There is a long distance between some holes so it takes a little longer to play. For good golfers it is an excellent course, well designed and kept in great condition!
Great golf course
This is a really great public course. Very very challenging. Pace of play is almost always an issue because they do no marshaling. Even so, it's a must play. The on site restaurant is phenomenal! Very scenic challenging layout!
Nothing to drink
Everything was perfect about the day and the course except they had no water on the course nor a cart person
One of the best.
This is one of the best public tracks in the phila metro. Great layout, very good condition. Worth the 75 min drive.
Great Day
I was fortunate to play on a perfect weather day. Course was in great condition. I gave it one less star only because the greens still showed signs of having been aerated although putting conditions werent bad because of it. They do a greatj ob keeping this course in tip-top shape.
You really feel a sense of privacy on each hole and I especially like that each hole is interesting and fun to play. Course plays fair. Beautiful views throughout to boot
Staff could not have been friendlier! It really set the tone for the day.
It was an enjoyable day. Looking forward to returning.
One of the best
I play all over - Glenn mills, Bella, Ravens, Pilgrims Oak, Iron Valley . . . Broad Run is one of my tops. The views are breathtaking. The conditions are great. The holes are unique. Great starting and ending par 5s. Love this course. Little pricey now and if you catch a slow group it can be a while due to challenging holes. But relax and take it all in. Why rush?!
Turf on the Tees an issue.
Weeds an issue off-fairway.
Off fairway manicure needs.
Bunker was very concrete like.
Good tough course however.
Happy Easter
Course was in outstanding condition. Worth the drive for sure. Bar was closed, guessing because it was a slow Sunday and Easter, but would have been nice to be able to get some refreshments at the turn.
Great course!
the PARADOX
Well designed golf holes
Great condition and playability
Distance between tee & green is over a mile between some holes - would take 6 hours to walk it.
3 holes closed, still charged $90
I love this course and have played it many, many times. BUT, the greens fees, especially off season, are way too high. Case in point, they had 3 holes closed along with a few other tee boxes, and the greens were slow and blotchy and they still charged $90. Should have been like $69-$74 for those conditions. I said something to the pro and he blamed Golf Now for not disclosing the conditions but he totally disregarded my feedback.

Great Course
Course was in very good condition and is very challenging. Only negatives were bunkers need some sand, but expected at end of season and they were rebuilding several of them. Also, there were many leaves and "helicopter" tree seeds on greens which they could have done more to clear, but somewhat expected for time of year.. Play was about 5 hours due to full course, leaf issues and very long distance between some holes.. Still one of the best courses in the area. Not recommended for beginners or high handicap players.
BRGC
One of the prettiest courses I’ve ever played. The fall leaves in full plumage helps, but fairways and greens are immaculate. Highly recommend and hope to come back. Pace of play was very slow but didn’t mind much as the views made up for it.
Challenging course in great shape
Very nice course with great vistas. Greens roll true and are quick, fairways in great shape. BEWARE THE ROUGH:)
Just a pure course. Beautiful layout, and in great conditions. Greens are fast and receptive, tee boxes are well kept, and fairways. Loved this course and worth the extra money if you are serious about golf.
Top Area Course
Broad Run is definitely in the upper echelon of Philadelphia/ Wilmington area public courses. The layout is fun but can be very taxing if you don’t hit fairways and greens. Miss a green wide and you’ll find yourself standing on a 30% slope chipping downhill. Some incredible vistas and downhill shots make the round very memorable. Conditions are fantastic. If you can play this course for $70 or less you’re doing pretty well for your money.
