Broad Run Golfer's Club
About
Designed by Rees Jones, Broad Run Golfer's Club boasts one of the best layouts in the area. The course sprawls across over 370 acres of rolling hills countryside. The dramatic elevations are definitely not something you would expect from a golf course that is conveniently situated so close to downtown Philadelphia. The elevated tees feel as though they're in the clouds and mature trees frame most of the holes. There are hazards lurking throughout the golf course including swampy marshlands and tall, dense grasses that are all just waiting to swallow errant shots. It is a challenging layout no doubt but it is made more player friendly with generous fairways and Jones was also light on the bunkering. One of the most difficult and scenic holes is the par-5 15th. This hole plays uphill, featuring a blind tee shot to a plateau green surrounded by trees.

A nice course but not worth the money they charge
For $100+ round I don’t really see what you get out of that compared to going to inniscrone or downingtown. Nothing at this course explains why it costs so much. They rake the bunkers but the bunkers have huge rocks in them. The greens aren’t maintained that well. The fringes aren’t fringes. The driving range is a mountain. I’m not even kidding. The beverage cart didn’t have any hot food, just chips. Clubhouse isn’t that nice. If you’re a single they make you ride with another single or you pay an extra 20 dollars. I recently played a course in Maryland for $65 that had free titleist range balls, a maintained course, and lots of opportunities to get food and beverages throughout the round.
Very challenging Course
Course was in excellent condition except the greens. Very slow. Extremely challenging, but too many blind shots. Last time I played here it was Tattersall, so it’s been awhile. Seems at $115 a round, it’s joined other area courses in upping the costs to play these upper tier tracks.
Great course
Lot of fun playing this course, helped that the guys I played with were regulars that knew the course well. Definitely would not want to walk here 😀
Totally worth it
What a fantastic place to play golf! Great layout, challenging but not overly difficult, great views from all over. The staff was courteous and friendly, a pleasure to work with. And the price is totally reasonable.
Awesome course. Lots of up hill long par 4s and par 5s. Will definitely be playing this course when I can. Driving range is funny how it’s set up but still overall great experience for the first time playing there
Cresco gem
Broad run is a very hilly course with ALOT of distance between holes.. Now for the good, very challenging with very good conditions and multiple tees to make it challenging for advanced players. Greens, fairways , tees and traps were all good. Not recommended for beginners or people who struggle walking on hills. Overall excellent for intermediate and advanced golfers.
Great course but terrible pace.
This is a gem of a course with a beautiful and challenging layout. Be prepared to hit every club in your bag at some point. Course was in good condition and not enough can be said about the views.
Unfortunately management has sold it soul to the devil for a few extra sheckles. My last round would have lasted over five and a half hours had I not left after 11 holes. Pulling up to each hole there was a group on the tee box, on the fairway, and the green. Unacceptable and disappointing. Friends have had similar experiences as well. Is it worth the terribly slow pace for a few extra tee times squeezed in?
A lot of potential for a great course but pace will prevent me from going back.
Great Course
The course is really fun, greens rolled well early and it’s a challenge on every shot. I’ll definitely be back
The only gripe I have is for the goofball ranger who did goofball ranger things all day. They really serve no purpose.

Played Yesterday. Such a good course I went back and played today
Immaculately kept. Greens were perfect. they dont move as much as it looks like they would. Seems every miss was high).
Fairways were perfect.
Views were great. Wildlife was around and just made it cool.
Played yesterday, had a few holes get away from me and shot in the 90’s from the blues. Went back today knowing I could play better and shot an 85 from the blacks. Par threes are challenging and the pins are protected by either sand or water.
Will definitely be back.
Playing it again
Great and challenging course , would definitely recommend and play it again

Wait for awhile
Traps are being repaired (thats a good thing), greens were bad even for winter golf not worth it
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Broad Run Golfer's Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
AERATION ALERT
The course won’t tell you but I will.
Greens were punched on Aug 14
Wait a couple of weeks and enjoy the round. Or give your green fees to the course now and have a sub par experience.
It’s maddening how very few courses will alert their customers in advance of aerated greens. I enjoy Broad Run immensely but this deceptive practice ruined my day. I won’t play here again this year because of this. Probably 4-5 rounds of green fees lost by Broad Run. I’ll play next year but will call the pro shop every time and ask about conditions.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by our recent aeration of the greens on August 14th. We appreciate your feedback and will strive to provide clearer communication to our customers about the maintenance schedule in the future. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we hope to see you again next year.
