One of my favorites!

First time playing the course since the year it opened. Never thought that there would be another course here that could compare with the Cobb, which has always been a favorite of mine. Stonehaven and Cobb are very different courses but both are extremely good. Conditions could not have been better. The layout is challenging but not as tight as it first appears. Stonehaven is a definite do not miss when in the area. Paired with the Cobb and it would be an awesome 2 day trip.

Good time had by all

Played 18 holes and if I never play another course, I would be happy the rest of my days. Course in excellent condition from tee though green. Layout is challenging, but fair. Course is suitable for all levels of play. Some of our scratch golfers played from the tips and had all they could handle, our higher handicap guys played from the senior tees and everyone had a great time. Multiple elevation changes, large greens and very scenic, with deer everywhere.

Pretty good views

The holes are interesting and the conditions were very good. The elevation changes are pretty interesting and greens very puttable. This is still just a old school country club and resort players must see members coming out from everywhere in their cute carts. This is a $50-70 course. The pro shop guy was much better today, a very nice change from the day before. The bugs are terrible, even covered in bug spray!

An Amazing Mountain Course

I was able to book a round on this beautiful, mountain golf course through GolfNow for the incredible low rate of $30pp. This course normally charges $65-70. Even though it had snowed 3-4" in the days leading up to our reservation the course was in superb condition. Plush, green fairways with quick paced greens made for a very challenging round for our foursome. There were only a few holes that remained a bit muddy so, unfortunately, play was ruled as Cart Path Only. This was my only gripe of the day- if they would just declare certain holes CPO instead of the entire course we could've completed our round in around 4 hours, instead of the 5 it took. The pro shop and grill staff were very helpful and polite and the food was fantastic. We enjoyed 3-4 games of free billiards while snacking on delicious fish & chips. Even the adult beverages were reasonably priced. This is hands down the finest course I've played in WV (and possibly overall), and I will be returning every time I visit my dad to get a round or two in. (I still haven't played the Old White course at the Greenbrier Hotel, but I hope to remedy that soon). I can't recommend this course highly enough. Beautiful course conditions, stunning views and an awesome, friendly staff make Glade Springs a real treasure. Do yourself a favor and play a round here- you won't leave disappointed.

Excellent condition for middle of winter!

Played this course for the first time ever in mid-January after several days of rain, so the course was wet and we were restricted to cart path only. In spite of the wetness, the course was in remarkably good shape. Fairways were short and greens were moderately fast. Doglegs favor right-handers who fade their drives. Lots of sand. Lots of blind shots. Length of the course from the gold tees is just right for this 76 year old! Big greens let you brag on how many GIR you had!

Outstanding view from 16 tee

Other than the aeration of the greens this is one of the best courses I've ever played.

Great course in the moumtains

This course was well-maintained and has a challenging design. The variety of each hole with varying grades of elevation was appealing, yet tests all skill levels. The greens were immaculate, but dampness made some of them roll a bit slower than expected. A beautiful course in the mountains!

Great bargain on Golf Now

From the time we pulled in the parking lot, all was good. Pro shop staff very friendly and upbeat. Course in wonderful shape for late March. Not an easy course, but good views and great playing conditions. Look forward to playing there again very soon.
